Heavenly Father,
Your Word:

Your warning:
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Your hope:
1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].

Your solution:

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

CORRUPTION:
Father, I come before You in shock as I read information about the opioid crisis. I can only believe that those who find themselves addicted are, by and large, victims of greed.

I am angry, disgusted as I read about medical professionals who administer drugs without ethical, or even medical intelligence.

It seems that this crisis was intentional. The more I read, the more I conclude that these drugs, especially the synthetic drugs, have been developed specifically for the purpose of power and money. The corruption is deep and without excuse.

Father, There are those who are making these drugs specifically for their financial gain, paying medical staff and intentionally feeding addiction. The breadth and wickedness of this problem is beyond comprehension. I am outraged. Surely this is abhorrent to You!

Deliver the victims and judge the wicked!

2 Peter 2: 9
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

CONFESSION:
After repeated surgeries over the last several years and my medicine cabinet is lined with addictive pain killers—all with multiple refills. As this problem has been in the news, I have not taken it seriously. I have not been a good steward in taking care of the freedoms we enjoy.

I could have prayed. I didn't. I repent. I petition You for Your help. First, help me to do my part.

PETITION:
For the Medical Profession and Pharma Companies
Your Word clearly outlines what is happening here. Thank You. I come to You with Your Word.

2 Peter 2:19
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

Father, the oath of the medical profession to "First, do no harm." In this situation, can it get any more hypocritical? Surely, this problem was known early in the history of testing. Surely, doctors saw the results of their prescriptions in their patients. Yet this has continued.

Father, You know the people who have devised this evil in their hearts.

There are people who knew the potential of these drugs with regard to addiction and, in their hearts, realized the financial gain if millions of people were addicted and the drug was inexpensive and easily available.

There is an industry here ...and it is in full production!

Individuals, pharma companies, developers, people who are in the production of these drugs, those who deliver them, those who make them available ...Father, I am so sorry.

Is our greatest addiction that of greed...money and power?

You know the secretly rich who have been usurious, making victims for their own gain. Your Word tells us, "...they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing." (Psalm 34:10).

Yet, this nation is not satisfied with "enough" and we are not satisfied with "every good thing"... We seem to be addicted to wanting more.

I cannot understand the motivations of those involved in the conception, production, and distribution of these drugs, that millions of people are being led to addiction... to feed what? You know O God. Greed is what comes to my mind.

Your Word is clear on this:

• For the love of money is the root of all evil: (1 Timothy 6:10)
• But they that will be rich fall into temptation and ...drown men in destruction and perdition. (1 Timothy 6:9)
• ...be content with such things as ye have (Hebrews 13:5)
• ...ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24)

For our Nation and a Solution
But therein is the problem. Our nation has fallen away from You. We do not want to serve You. We do not want to believe that Your Word is there for our protection. We are in utter rebellion. Have mercy, O God, have mercy.

Father, we seem to believe that the answer is to get rid of these drugs...yet are those involved already devising their next ruse? Truly, the problem is rebellion and greed.

Are those at the heart of this matter people who will turn to You? Will they leave their corruption and repent? If so, Father, may it happen quickly...

Is there legal recourse and would it help? Are there those who have wrought this corruption who should be incarcerated? You know. Then may the judgement be severe and quickly administered.

Are people being silenced to cover up those who gain from this industry? You know O God...expose the wicked.

For the Victims
You are a God of justice! You hate wickedness. You are Truth! (John 14:6). I petition You, in Your mercy, to expose those at the heart of this problem. Raise up solutions for these victims.

Getting rid of the drugs, without a valid, reasonable pathway for those who are addicted...is not a solution. They need more. They need healing. You are the Healer.

Jeremiah 33:6
Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

Bring to reality John 8:36 “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

It is so easy for me to write and read Your Word. Yet Father, the reality for these victims is a different story. Have mercy. May they personally experience You true to Your Word. May these victims experience You firsthand:

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

They need more than what the world has to offer them. They need You. Activate every believer to do our part.

Raise us up...that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

A prayer for the homeless and hungry, the lonely, the desolate, and the forgotten.

Heavenly Father,
Your Word:

Proverbs 19:17
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Proverbs 28:27
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

It is that time of year when we tend to think about those who are hungry and homeless. It's cold out. We celebrate Christmas in the warmth of our homes and in the presence of our friends and families. Have we done enough? Have we done our part? Are we grateful to You that we are not among them?

Father, I feel guilty and embarrassed.

I am exasperated and helpless. My impotence screams at me as "life" takes up my attention and I forget about those in dire need.

I do not know how to manage this. I rely on "agencies" to care for these people and my support seems feeble. My heart cries out to help those who have lost their jobs, their homes, their possessions, and even their loved ones who reject them...

Many people in California have lost everything.

You are the God of Compassion. Have mercy on our poor and show those of us, whom You have graced with substance, how we can share what we have. Raise us up to go out and help as our substance allows and do so in the Name of Jesus Christ. Father, place those in need in front of those who love You. May each one of us rise to the occasion and demonstrate the love of Christ in a meaningful way.

Please help me to do my part... and not just at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but all year long. Father, You fed the 5,000! You know how to make this work! And You rely on us, Your church to be Your presence here. Help us Lord! Help us to be faithful.

Father, place on the heart of Your disciples to do what they can do. That:

• Those who can go will go.
• Those who can give, will give generously and cheerfully.
• Those who can pray, will petition You fervently.
• Those who can offer an uplifting word, will speak peace and comfort!

Grant us unmistakable opportunity to help someone...and may there be an overflow of resources! May we all give generously and be Your delight. Father, we will stand before You and You will hold us accountable for how we manage our resources to help the poor. You have told us this beforehand. You Word clearly says:

Matthew 25: 45
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Raise us up. That we may be found faithful in the day of His coming. Amen and Amen!

Heavenly Father,
Your Word:

The Jerusalem prophesy in Jeremiah 3:17
At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.

You promise in Jeremiah 3:17
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Father, it is Your imperative that we pray according to Your Word...for it shall not return void. I believe it. How do we do this with regard to the U.S.Embassy move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem? You know O God, the prayers that would move Your heart. That is what we seek—Your Word, Your desire, Your will.

Surely, I want my way, my desires, my idea of the outcome here. And as I see unrest in the Middle East, it is difficult not to want immediate peace. It is difficult not to desire that nothing be done to stir up any additional unrest. Are my desires in alignment with Your will? This is not usually the case. Forgive me. Grant me prayers that align with Your will.

I cannot fathom what it is like to live there. But I believe You are omni-present and that You are there. You are Jehovah Shammah, You are the God who is there. (Ezekiel 48:15) You know every detail of what is happening in and about Jerusalem! Thank You!

There is not one heart that breaks, one soul lost, one life severed from the earth, that You are not aware of. You love them all and desire that all men be saved (1 Timothy 2:4).

I want Your blessing...for me and for the Nation of Israel!
Thank You that You tell me how I can get it!

You promise in Genesis 12:3
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Blessings for Jerusalem:

• Lord God of Heaven,You are righteous and holy! ...Bless Israel and Jerusalem with Your righteousness.

• You are the God of Peace, Jehovah Shalom; Bless her with Your peace.

• Proclaim the joy of her salvation! Be in the hearts and minds of all who look to You.

• You are Jehovah Jireh, The Lord who Provides: Be the provision of every heart in Jerusalem and Israel!

• You are Jehovah Tsidkenu, the Lord our Righteousness. Oh how we need You. Pour out Your Righteousness upon Jerusalem, that she may honor You and bless You and proclaim Your Word.

• Praise be to You, El Roi: The God who sees! You see all, You know what is going on there. Thank You that nothing escapes Your notice. Praise be to the God who knows, who is omniscient. Blessings to You, who sees even the silent tears that fall from every heart.

A Hanukkah blessing for Jerusalem!
Father, Your Word proclaims that You are Light! Is it not Hanukkah? Is it not the time of year when we celebrate Your provision of Light?

1 John 1:5
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Father - Light up Jerusalem! Light her up with the eternal light of Your provision. Proclaim Your Word over her that she may celebrate as never before. Lift up every heart before Your throne of grace and establish Your presence in Jerusalem that the world may see that You are the one True and Living God! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Raise up praise to Your Name, for You promise to inhabit the praises of Your people, Israel!

California wildfires...again a plea for help

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Once again, California is facing devastation from wildfires. All that is in the earth is Yours. Our very lives. Yet the devastation is overwhelming.

In accordance with Your Word, I shall enter into Your gates with thanksgiving, and into Your courts with praise. I will bless Your Holy Name.

I thank You that You are a God who moves with purpose. Your purpose is focused on everlasting value. Thank You, that You are aware of every soul in California, both far and near the fires.

You are the God who cleanses and preserves, even though we cannot understand in the here and now. You are the God who brings healing...Thank You that You see the innermost needs of our lives.

Thank You that Your ways are not our ways. Thank You that we can trust You as we move through the destruction brought by these fires.

Your Word:

Psalm 24:1
The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Hebrews 12:27-29
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Thank You that You see the desolation of hearts and souls, of lives, and that they matter to You.

For firefighters:
Father, may those in authority who make decisions, do so with the wisdom from above. Supernaturally, Grant them supernatural understanding and solutions that work.

Protect those fighting the fires. Especially those on the ground. May they protect each other, and may they have strength to continue to make progress against these fires. Strengthen their bodies and their minds. Father, if there is a time they should pull out - may they do so without hesitation. Protect them. Surround them and place Your hedge of protection around each individual. Give their families and friends fervent prayers during this time.

Father, surely these firefighters, these servants are concerned about their families. Keep their families safe. Families are concerned, constantly, for the safety of those directly fighting these fires. Satisfy their concerns that You are there. You are engaged. Protect them Father, please protect those that serve and protect their families.

For police, medical staff, those who receive the injured:
Father, these people are making life and death decisions, every moment. You are the God in the moment. Give these people decisive decision-making ability and decisive actions that save lives. I ask that the equipment needed to care for those coming through their facilities be available. I ask for ample medication, pain relief, bandages...beds, rooms, nurses, doctors...everything needed...may there be an ample supply.

For those who are suffering:
O Father, this is hard. First, I pray for those suffering physically. Please get them to facilities that can help them. You know each person who has been burned. You know the lives that have been changed forever. Bring people to serve them. Bring comfort through those that know You and can bring Your Peace into this situation. May Your Word rise to these situations. Yes, and even those with pets, who may have been lost or hurt. Please save their pets, livestock...Your creatures that bring us so much enjoyment.

I ask Your healing presence. Send an army of Your servants to walk with these people, not just now, but in the weeks, months and even years to come. Father, may those who call on Your Name, go to help. May they bond with those who are suffering and maintain contact, such that Your care and love is demonstrated in meaningful ways.

Father, we are tempted to turn away from You, yet You are our only hope. We are tempted to be angry at the devastation. Yet You are the only true way. May everyone directly affected by these fires be drawn close to You. May they cry out and know You have heard them and will answer them. Give people words to come to You with their grief and sorrow...and find grace to help in this dire time of need.

For recovery:
Is there recovery without You? Do You not bring good out of all things? Your Word says:

Romans 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

So Father, I ask that through this, many people will turn to Your love and find grace to help them. I ask that many turn to Your saving grace through this horrendous experience. Please call these people to be "according to Your purpose." I include the firefighters, the medical staff, the police and other public servers, the residents— may they know that You are God.

Help us. Raise us up. That we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

Light for darkness...exposing predators and pedophilia...the prayers of one sinner

Heavenly Father,
You have promised in Your Word:

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

We are a sinful nation. We are heinous. Father, disgusting practices are widespread and tolerated. Many people have known about them—people who were in a position to bring change...and kept silent. Many others have suspected these shameful activities, and have not investigated. Many have not sought the truth...many have remained silent.

These are the sins that are abominable to You. You are omnipresent and You have seen every act: as women, children, and youth have been abused, degraded and even sodomized. Father, this darkness pervades our land. Help, LORD. Help us by opening the eyes of our hearts to see the perverse, decrepit condition of our land.

Father, will this be the tipping point to call this nation to repent? I ask it. Let every one of us take responsibility. Shed the light of Christ on this widespread wicked darkness. Have we not all sinned?

These notable people are being exposed. But what about those who have done likewise, but seem to be of little significance? What about them?

Bring our sins into the light. What about all those who have purchased silence through personal and corporate funding and even used our legal system to "make a deal" and buy their public image...at the sordid expense to the victim. God of justice, expose them!

1 John 1:5
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Shed Your light, Father. Because of the blood of Jesus, shed Your light, and let us see our repugnant wickedness...especially where children and youth have been victims. Open our hearts to see as You see. Show us, each one, how we have contributed. And may we fall to our knees.

How many abortions have occurred because of this darkness? You know.

Open our spirits to see the cost to the victims! May victims come forth! Strengthen them to speak out. Pour out Your compassion on them that they may be healed.

Father, may the love of Christ surround them through the lives of trusted friends and colleagues. Move us to pray and reach out. May the path to healing be brought to their lives that they may be washed clean in the blood of Christ.

Father, as we seem to have passed a tipping point, and as a frenzy of exposure comes forth, saturate us with reason and truth. Father, we would be no better off, if this were taken to the opposite extreme. May only truth be spoken. I ask that restraint be poured out on this matter. Where an innocent, and awkward incident occurred, may grace abound.

May women not use this situation as an excuse to wrongly accuse or retaliate. Pour out reason and self-control.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Father, we are all aghast. Yet, we are all guilty.

We point to these individuals who have been exposed. We are surprised. We are disappointed. We are saddened. We say, "This is despicable." Yet, we are ALL guilty! We have all helped to create this cultural of sexual sin and perversion.

Show each of us our part. Show us how we have contributed. Expose our wicked hearts to ourselves.

• The short, off-color comment...made without really thinking.
• The time we laughed at the off-color comment by someone else.
• What about the time we told "little jokes that berated women?
• What about the "dumb blond" jokes...that we thought were harmless, clever, and funny?
• What about the times we were aghast and didn't know what to do at a comment...so we laughed...and did nothing?
• What about the times we heard news clips, showed disgust for the perpetrators, and didn't pray for the ones who were victims?
• What about the many times we were simply thoughtless and moved on in our lives, numb to the situation?

You were there. You wept. We are ALL guilty. I am guilty.

Remind us all of the times when we saw and heard newscasts, and were dismissive when sexual impropriety and perversion were brought to our attention. Every one of those moments provided an opportunity to pray for the victim, the predator, and for our nation. I could have prayed, but I did not.

Help us. Raise us up. That we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

Heavenly Father,
I love this nation: The United States of America. The USA, where You have placed me. I am grateful beyond words that I live here and have the freedoms that have blessed this nation. So many people have poured out their very life for the freedoms that I enjoy each day.

You have blessed this nation far more than any other nation on the earth. You have given us a quality of life that exceeds all other nations. I give You thanks.

Yet, we have turned from You. We have enjoyed he bounty of Your gracious favor. You have piled up mountains of blessings upon this nation. You have provided for our physical needs, including healthcare and the technologies that put our nation above every nation.

You have provided a quality of food that is better than all the nations of the earth. You have provided for our intellectual growth and given us education that is the desire of the world. Because of the protection of Your hand, we have enjoyed freedom of speech and the freedom to worship. We worship You openly and without threat of arrest and torment.

Your unceasing blessings have poured out upon this nation for centuries. Thank You.

Yet, in our opulence, stuffing ourselves with the blessings from Your hand and heart, we have turned from You. We have credited ourselves as the author of these blessings. We have forgotten You. We have turned from You. We, Your church, have stood by silently, as the very freedoms You have given us, are, one-by-one, being taken away.

We have watched as the spirit of anti-christ has grown strong. Have mercy and forgive us. Waken Your church to vehemently stand and resist the forces that threaten this nation. Fill Your Church with Your love and compassion. Grant us words that strengthen each other and dissipate the wrath that has grown to openly deny You.

Father, this nation now embraces death through abortion. We call good evil and evil good as Christians are attacked for standing for Your Word. Freedom of speech for Christians is no more. And we are silent.

Cleanse us and raise us up in strength! May we throw off the fear and stand boldly before Your throne of grace to intercede for those who embrace the convenience of abortion and believe they have the right to take the life of an unborn child. Father, I am ashamed that this has gone so far. O God...YOU are our hope...for the battle is not against flesh and blood.

Father, we have been silent as marriage has been redefined. Even in Your church, we are embracing what You specifically abhor. Call us to prayer. As this nation uses the freewill You gave us, to embrace our fleshly desires...have mercy, O God.

Raise up Your church to pray fervently on behalf of those who have been caught in the lair of the enemy. Let us stand in the gap for this nation, that Your patience not run dry. Fill us with Your Word, and a hunger and thirst to petition You on behalf of those who are used by the enemy to establish evil as good. O God...YOU are our hope...for the battle is not against flesh and blood.

Draw Your church to be ashamed of our laxness in these matters. Raise up Your Spirit to speak to our spirit that we may cry our before You, ashamed that we have not diligently prayed for this nation as laws have been changed, as You have been pushed out of the way. You are our only hope...for the battle is not against flesh and blood.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Romans 10:11
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Draw us to confess. Bring Your church to confession. Heap upon our minds and hearts, that we have been grievous in our responsibilities. Remind us that we are the ones that can bring change because this is not a battle against flesh and blood. Bring us to confess and repent.

Open our eyes to see the shame that has saturated our culture. Raise up Your Word that we may have hope. Strengthen us, and equip us to be the Light of Jesus Christ in every part of our daily walk. And may our testimony be so inviting that all who would be saved, would come to Salvation.

Help us. Raise us up. That we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

*** Giving Thanks for and Speaking Well of the USA ...the prayers of one sinner

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Thank You that I live in the United States of America. I thank You for the freedoms that have been so hard won.

Yet, with these freedoms, especially the freedom of speech, we have become a nation of complainers. We have become critical of everything that doesn't fit our narrow view and desires of the moment.

Criticism, especially of the nation and our leaders, has become a way of life. I have done this. Please forgive me. Please forgive us and call us to repent.

Your Word:

Ezekiel 36:3,15
Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:

15 Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord God.

When Israel became a nation of negative critcizers, desolation followed. But when they ceased their negative chatter, you caused restoration. Father, we need Your help today, in the USA to join together and put away unkind, unhelpful chatter. Please help me to do this.

Especially since the election of President Trump, this nation has released a torrent of daily, persistent, and judgemental disapproval. It has been directed at President Trump and Republicans or those who oppose him and the Republican party.

We do this as if we are making the world a better place by spewing out this deluge of reactive waste. Please help us. Please open our eyes to see that we are being critical of Your chosen, for Your Word says:

Daniel 2:21
And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

Father, it seems like it is a fight between nationalism and globalism. Yet, nationalism is YOUR idea. We are opposing YOU and we are also disobedient to Your Word which says,

1 Timothy 2:1-3
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

This is to our shame. Open our eyes to see this egregious behavior. Call us to confess and repent.

Surely, all this negative talk releases spiritual forces into and onto our nation. We aren't thinking about the result of our actions. We are bringing harm to the USA by our persistent negativity. Please call us to repent.

Father, how much of this is being done by Your church? We seem to be especially good at criticism. We seem to slide into the robe of "I'm holy and righteous because I am critical." We confuse criticism with discernment.

Please call us to repent:

• Our negative talk brings a heavy burden on leaders and law enforcement.
• Our cynical negative attitudes creates an atmosphere of pessimism which is affecting our economy.
• We have created an atmosphere of bitterness, rivalry and hatred that has descended upon this nation.

So much needs to be changed here in the United States. But negativity will not change any of them. Open our hearts to understand Your Word. Call Your church to counter this road to destruction and become part of the solution.

Help us turn from negativity and arrogance and learn that speaking well is to be realistic with regard to our safety, our economy and well being. Call Your church to be salt. Call this nation again to be light.

Call us all to Christ, that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

Veterans Day Prayers and for the US Military

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Your Word:

John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

' Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Father, this nation has been at war for decades. Only You know the long-standing results. One thing is clear: these men and women have committed their very lives to protect this nation. I thank You for them.

Thank You for their valor, their sacrifice, and ask Your mercy on their woundedness and pain. Many are now veterans, some disabled physically, some emotionally...and usually for the remainder of their lives. Bless them for heir service, bless their families with unconditional love, and may they see value in their service.

For those with long-lasting pain:
These people will never forget what they experienced: loss of family, loss of treasured friends, loss of health (physical and mental), loss of limbs...the list is endless and no matter how long it becomes, it will only touch a small fraction of the loss that has been suffered.

Have mercy on our military and our veterans.

They gave their time and lives, they gave up their families. Father, these men and women sacrificed to maintain those values that You uphold. Especially freedom. Jesus You came to set the captives free. These men and women go to do the same. They go to preserve our freedom and maintain our freedom to worship You. Uphold them. Upgird them.

Families who have lost loved ones still suffer. Veterans who are struggle to return to civilian life experience daily loss. Those who have lost arms, legs, vision, health... struggle daily because they loved and fought for my freedom. I am so grateful.

I thank You for them, I thank them, and I ask Your mercy and strength to them and their families. Help them to find joy in each day. Bring them relief from their pain and the agony of their remembrances. Have mercy on them O God.

You understand the sacrifice that every serviceman and woman, every family, every friend has made. You are a God of sacrifice. Embrace each person in a unique way to fill the specific needs of each day.

For their families (spouses, children, parents):
You alone know the sacrifice that families have and continue to make as military families. Father have been involved in wars since the beginning and You alone know all the horrors that war brings. You know each family. You know the thoughts of each spouse, each child, each parent.

You are the God who is there...You cry with them, You hurt with them. May Your understanding of sacrifice be a comfort to them.

Embrace them in the loneliness of their thoughts each day, and may they be aware of Your presence and find comfort.

Father, these people have been loyal to principles that You uphold and I ask Your special mercy on them. Only You O God can truly understand them. Draw close and draw them close to You. May Your healing touch be undeniable.

For those deployed:
For our military now fighting the wars "over there"... may we "over here" be cognizant that we are at war and brave men and women are fighting on our behalf.

Call us to attention and call us pray for them.

Give these soldiers and every military leader uncanny insight to fight the battle. Grant strategic planning to those who make decisions. Cause the correct "intelligence" to reach those who define engagement so that this nation may again be secure.

Father, our armed forces have been ignored over the last years. Give us insight to rebuild. These brave men and women, driven by a desire for a free nation, need the best military equipment, the best military minds, and the best morale—to do the work of each day. I ask for it!

I ask that this nation quickly turn from a lax mindset and become sober, managing our resources with a priority that elevates the needs of our military.

For national defense:
Father, have mercy on our nation. I petition You that we return the place where Your blessings can again flow freely. Please pour out a spirit of repentance over this nation. Please bring us, each of us, to an understanding of sacrifice. Bring each person in this nation to deep gratitude for these men and women.

Move us to pray for our military leaders that through Your hand, we can again be a nation of might, that fights for right—as You define it.

My we salute our military and may this nation again...rejoice in You alone.

Heavenly Father,
Your Word:

Isaiah 1:4, 15, 18-20
4 Ah sinful nation a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Thanksgiving and Confession:
Thank You that in You there is safety. As our nation loses its ability to remain safe, may we turn to You and find truth about our condition. Thank You that You are always there in time of need and in time of plenty. You neither slumber nor sleep. You have blessed us throughout our history and we have become great. Thank You.

We have also become lax, and we have elevated ourselves to a place of false wisdom. We have turned from You and raised ourselves up. We have turned from Your Word and gone our own way. Forgive us, humble us, and bring us back to obedience to You.

Hear our cry:
Though You never slumber or sleep, there are times when You do not hear our cry. We have become a rebellious people. We redefine whatever suits our imagination and call it good. We deserve Your judgement and Your wrath. Yet, Father, did You not say You would spare Sodom and Gomorrah if there were 10 righteous people there? You did! You are a God of mercy and You are the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Please raise up the righteous in Christ, our only hope. Please call us to Your throne of grace and teach us to put away the evil that has saturated our nation. Teach us to put on the whole armor of God, given to us for such a time as this!

Terror in the streets of NYC:
Many people ask "Where were You?" But You are omnipresent and You were there. You know what has happened, and You know the grief and the horror that remains. Many are reeling from the incident. Our technology allows us all to be a part.

I ask that:

• Your people rise up on behalf of those directly involved with this.
• Those with immediate outreach a presence to those who are directly affected.
• You grant them helpful actions, helpful words.
• These people be the presence of Christ in this situation.

Father, many people will be reeling for the remainder of their lives and they will be dealing with the loss, which is so great. I plead Your mercy for them.

Terror in USA:
Father, we are slowly learning that our perception of safety, which You have provided in this nation, is no longer reality. We are slowly learning that we cannot know if we are living our last day when we leave our homes. Fear, is slowly gripping our nation.

We need Your perspective. We need to cling to You. May this be a wake-up call in this nation. May this be the beginning of a concerted effort to turn to You and turn from our evil ways. May we again be responsible for our actions and cleanse our lands. May each person commit to seeking Your will. May we again become an obedient people. Help us Lord, for without You, we are gone.

Are we willing to learn?
The entire nation is a part of this incident and even the world. May Truth rise up. Are we learning? Are we wiser? Are we realizing that we cannot be safe anywhere we go? Are we learning that You only alone are safety? Are we learning that You have blessed us as we put our trust in You and now that we have turned from You, Your hedge has been lifted? Help Lord! Help us make the connection between our rebellion and our safety. Help us.

Are we willing to turn...to You?
Where will we turn - will we turn back to You are move forward in our rebellion and dig ourselves deeper into the depths of sin? Father, I have been a part of this. I have been disobedient when You commanded that I pray for those in authority. I am as much to blame as the next person. I have not turned to You for help as this nation made choices that were directly rebellious to Your Word.

I turn to You. You have helped me to better understand, confess, and repent of my sin. Thank You. I know that You are helping others to do the same and in this there is hope. As evil prevails and we, Your church, have the weapons of this warfare; may we wield them to Your glory. Train us up to fight this battle.

May this nation again...rejoice in You alone.

***RussiaGate: A prayer for truth and relevance

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Your Word:

Proverbs 12:22
Lying lips [are] abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly [are] his delight.

Luke 8:17
For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither [any thing] hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Thanksgiving.
Heavenly Father, You are the God of Truth and You know all Truth. Thank You that there is no deception in You. Thank You that You hate lies, yet You love each one of us. You are the One True and Living God. You who cannot lie, You who sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, the Living Truth to us...please do not tire of our antics as we fumble around on our own. Thank You that you hate lying lips, but You desire that all men be saved.

The Truth shall set You free.
Father, this nation started out in the search for freedom. Your Word tells us that Jesus Christ is the Truth, and if we know Him, we shall be free. Yet, we have turned away from freedom. Thank You that You clearly state that Jesus Christ is Truth. Thank You that You clearly show us the path to Truth and to Freedom. Thank You that You do not hide what we need from us.

Confession.
I confess that this nation has turned from Your Word...and Your Word is Truth. Without You, we cannot even identify Truth when it is before us! We have pushed ourselves into a dark corner. We need Your wisdom and discernment. Nothing is covered before You.

We believe what we want to believe. We make up our stories based on information, but not on truth. We rehearse our stories, call them truth and worship them. Have mercy on us.

Supplication: Intervention:
Father, I petition You regarding the Russia Investigation. I ask Your intervention.

As the American people, we have no idea what to believe. It's so hard to know who to believe and what to pray. So I will pray for Truth. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I speak Him, Truth, into this situation.

So many people are involved. The history goes back so far. Information is entangled and agendas are complicated. Who can know? YOU! Father, YOU know. You know the hearts of everyone involved. You know the deception that lurks throughout this situation. Thank You that You hate lies.

I ask Your intervention in the hearts of these people. May Truth be spoken. Father, Your Word indicates You give "liberally" to those who ask for Your wisdom. I am asking for the wisdom from above. I am asking that You move the hearts of these people to desire Truth, to be driven to proclaim the truth in this situation.

For those who seek destruction through deception, I ask that You crush the impact of the Father of Lies, crush the verbiage that would be spoken that does not align with the truth. Intervene in this situation ...for YOUR sake. That YOU may be glorified again in this land.

Supplication: Discernment for relevance.
Father, there is so much information available. Who can decipher it all? Who can understand the inter-connectivity of all the details. You can! I take heart that You understand the details and You know how to reveal the motives and intentions of the hearts of those who are involved. Praise be to Your Name!

Pour out Your insight, wisdom, and discernment upon the Mueller Investigation. Father, there is no way these people, smart as You have made them, can bring relevance to what is being uncovered. They need You. They may not know it. They may trust in their own fallible, feeble efforts, but I ask You to bring discernment and relevance.

Supplication: Communication, action, closure—to swiftly move on.
Father, what an incredible fiasco, distraction, and use of valuable resources! Why? Many of us don't understand any of the implications of all this.

Father, would you reveal what is relevant, communicate it to the American people, and bring action that will bring closure and allow this nation to move forward? Father, do this, I ask, in such a way that You are glorified? Do this in a way that allows the Truth, Jesus Christ!, to be raised up. I ask for Your intervention.

Please help this matter to be put to rest. Have people done wrong? Have laws been broken? Are there criminals who have done so grievously that they should go to jail? You know, O God, and I am asking that this come swiftly. May truth be known, may the guilty be identified, may sentencing be quick. O Father, that would be so amazing. I will give YOU the glory. I will rejoice in You! I will proclaim Your Righteousness and mercy.

Peace through Truth.
I ask these things. I come boldly. I come with the righteousness of Christ upon me that I can come boldly before Your throne of grace. I come gladly, knowing that Your purposes will not be thwarted, Truth shall not be covered, and that through Jesus Christ, we are set free.

May this nation again...rejoice in You alone.
