PRM Harvest Prayers 5

Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit! Thank You for the day. Thank You for the opportunities that You have orchestrated in the lives of each servant who seeks to serve You. We desire to use each action to the fullest and call upon You to enable us for the work at hand.

You are Lord of the Harvest.
You do not want that anyone should perish. We join You in Your desire. Each moment with PRM is time spent with You, in worship of Your kingship. Thank You.

• P Patient, Perfector, Peace, Powerful
• R Righteous, Radiant, Revelations, Resurrection, Redeemer
• M Majesty, Mediator, Minister, Morning Star

Can we please discuss scattering?
We are scattered.
Father, there are times we are scattered in our thinking and our actions. I don't think it's just me. So many "things," come at us from every direction. Has this been a strategy of the enemy to reduce our ability to focus deeply and for an extended period of time? Please help us.

How much of this is idolatry? Something intrigues us - an ad, a captivating picture, a caption that pricks our interests...and almost immediately, without thinking... BLAM!!! "click" ...it has taken Your place as "first in line" ...it's the next thing we attend to ... it has gone higher on our "interest feed" than You.

If it's even for a moment, Your work, Your call, our focus on Your Word..becomes secondary. These are secondary gods, intrusions, even if for a moment. Doesn't that make it idolatry? Idolatry is painful for You.

We don't think of idolatry much. Yet, in a click, we blindly devote our attention to something else. Oh have mercy. You know we are but flesh, yet, You are the Author of our skills and abilities. And You skill people with wisdom and understanding for the project at hand. Thank You.

Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded. Exodus 36:1

Father, this idolatry is slick in a greasy sort of way - heinously clever. It is a scourge on our ability to complete Your work and it steals focus and time we can spend with You. Forgive us.

Grant us the gift and fruit of self-control. Place blinders on our hearts, our minds, our eyes to focus on PRM. Grant us the wisdom to eliminate the trolls that sneak in.
AND
We are all so good a justifying our desires that take us away from the focus needed for productivity. When we are exhausted, we have a readily available reason to take a break and in that moment the "click bait" awaits us.
BOOM.
A click, a scroll...
and we are caught, at least momentarily, and in jail.
Please bring Your living Word to us instead.


You are Jehovah Nissi:

And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi [that is, The Lord my banner]; Exodus 17:15

Fly Your banner over PRM;

• Over every person;
• Over their families and relationships;
• Over the sustenance needed for daily living: spiritual, emotional, physical.
• Over our rest each day, that it be deep and satisfying.

I ask it. Cover us, Lord of the Harvest:

• C Compassion
