Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the opportunity to pray for our leadership. Draw Your church together for this purpose and fill us with a diligence and urgency. Help us to understand the disdain that You have for sin and that our leaders are targeted by enemy. Draw us to prayer. Help us to understand how critical it is for us to seek You in prayer on behalf of these men and women. Grant us a deep discernment.

There are so many leaders in our lives:

• Our political leadership challenges our nation. Father, it is hard to know what to pray.
• Our societal leaders seem bent on embracing every sexual perversion and making it legal. Those who oppose challenged to not only agree with it, but also to affirm the behaviors.
• Our business leaders struggle to keep their jobs under the pressure of increased revenue...greed has taken over.
• Our educational leadership strives to please society and teach political correctness rather than spiritual integrity.
• Many church leaders have fallen away from Your Word and have brought perversion int Your church.

These men and women will eventually stand before You and make account of their lives, their decisions, their motives.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.

Give them a heart for accountability. Help them to live with this truth that they will stand before You and may this be foremost in their minds. This message impacts our lives at every level from the food and clothing we buy to the laws under which we live. Father, I acknowledge that this battle is not against flesh and blood.

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

So truly, Christians have the government we deserve. We know there is more to this than what we see in the physical. Forgive us for our lack of diligence. Father, You have commanded us to pray for our leaders and we will stand to give account as well.

1 Timothy 2:2
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

We need Your Holy Spirit to fill us. Pour out a spirit of integrity and dignity. Wash us thoroughly—every particle of our being: physical, emotional, spiritual— that we may understand cleanliness through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Humble us, Father, that our eyes may be opened and we may see our sin. I ask this for Your church and for our leaders.

Forgive us for the degeneration of our appetites. Our appetite for entertainment, for sexual perversion, and leaders who entice us to bargain with truth. Help us to reset our thinking and the direction of our lives.

You are the Creator and You have made us in Your image. Grant our leaders new creative solutions that would be honorable to You. Father, the U.S. society has become corrupt. Forgive us for ignoring it. And now there is a penalty for taking a stand for truth and justice. So we need strength, resolve, and a spirit of sacrifice if we are going to stand according to Your Word.

We cannot do this without You but all things are possible with You. Raise us up to know and believe that You are are our hope. Grant us the resolve to stand strong and fix our gaze on the day of our accountability before You. Fill us with a deep joy that our standing before You is all that matters. May this flood through this nation. May leaders from every crevice of society, from the POTUS to the lowest manager, be diligent. Truly this could change our nation.

With You, all things are possible. Have mercy, O God of mercy.

Heavenly Father,
You alone, O Lord are qualified to judge. You look past he outward appearance and into the hearts. You have founded integrity, and You set the bar for righteousness and holiness.

Who isn't in business!?! Everyone who is an employee is part of a business. Everyone who is a "consumer" takes part of a business transaction. Truly, we are all "in business"...directly or indirectly, whether we buy or sell, we are all making business decisions.

Father, our economy seems to have been taken over by greed. It is in such disarray. You, who judge the heart; You know all that has transpired. You know the "secret deals" that have been made. Even the secret deals we make in our own thoughts...You are there. You know all the decisions where You have not been carefully sought.

For business owners:
Father, our society diligently pushes us to ignore You in business transactions. We are challenged not to express our faith anywhere except in our churches. Turn our hearts. Truly, if those without faith in You were on the receiving end of fair and solid business transactions, it would demonstrate the goodness, fairness, justness and righteousness that only You can bring to a situation. They might even like it!

Would You establish our hearts with integrity and honesty? Please touch our consciousness and help us to see the ramifications of not seeking You diligently in our business decisions. Establish business owners to desire honesty and integrity. Give us a heart to please You in our dealings and seek You diligently with all decisions. Satisfy our hearts and minds when we please You by conducting our business with justice.

Proverbs 11:1
11 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.

Father, give business owners a longing for Your Word. May we daily find time to meet You through Scripture. May this time with You be the essence to establish our day, our character and form the foundation of our business dealings. Truly, may we protect this time with You. Establish a hunger and a thirst for Your Word...may we languish in it daily.

For employees:
Father, our economy is changing and it seems that as we struggle to succeed, that employees are taking the hit. This seems to be happening in small ways, insignificant in the moment, but the big picture does not promote a positive outlook for them.

Please give them insight into the changes in employment that they may stay ahead of the curve and maintain a revenue stream for themselves and their families. Make those that put their trust in You to be an example in the workplace. Grow hearts that are loyal to You and that diligently seek to provide excellence to their employer each day that they go to work. Establish them with favor to their employers and raise them up both in responsibility and compensation. May their example inspire their managers, their employers to "do the right thing."

For those who trust in You and work for corrupt industries, corrupt companies ...Father, if their example cannot be used to glorify You, please take them out. Cause those businesses that are unfair, unprincipled, to be abandoned. Cause them to collapse!

For consumers:
Our economy is based on consumption. We all purchase our needs and very few of us are self-contained. Give us a keen sense of how to spend our sustenance, which comes from You. Help us contain our desires and seek You to be frugal, careful and thoughtful in what we purchase and the timing as well. Please drive us to disdain our debt and seek You to be rid of it.

Change our hearts to seek You diligently. Capture our minds to diligently seek to embrace Your righteousness in our business dealings. Show us the path to put our trust in You that we may not slide.

Bring us to prayer for integrity and honesty. Give us a stalwart spirit and a joy as we go along our way—knowing that we are serving the Most High God and that we are Your pleasure and delight.

1 Timothy 2:1-2

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Our lives here in America are no longer peaceful. This nation seems to be crumbling at every turn. Our leadership disparage each other. There is no sense of respect (self-respect or otherwise) or social appropriateness. Forgive us for not praying more for our nation. Forgive us for turning from You. But I boldly come before You and ask You to fill us with understanding and prayers for the men and women who lead in this nation, that by Your Spirit, we may return to You.

For our leaders, I ask that Your Holy Spirit open their eyes to see clearly the cause and effect that has brought about our current condition. Surely, the election can not solve our problems. We need Christ and Christ crucified.

Our leaders face so many challenges as we witness civil unrest, frustration, discrimination from so many fronts. The economic picture and forecast is bleak as our national debt has surpassed our ability to be honorable to our creditors. We are at great risk. Corruption and greed seems to have spread to the every sector, every crevice of our society. Our minds and hearts are in disarray as we try to sort out our lives, yes, even our prayers.

May the Body of Christ step up! Give us words from Your Spirit to speak to those who are unfairly accused, unfairly targeted, and where justice has alluded their lives. Cause those in leadership to have the words to say that would turn us towards each other rather than against each other.

You are unity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Teach us how to bring unity of thought and mind to our daily situations and cause us to be identified as leaders. Show our leaders how to lead through their thoughts, words, and actions. May we be a nation of righteous action once again.

Father, is the Body of Christ depleted? Are we without hope? Uplift our spirits with the hope that would cause us to move, to pray, to become active in our neighborhoods, our churches, our work places. Fill our hearts with prayers for those who lead: from the retail manager to the President of the United States.

Help us to engage in prayer that You may build Your testimony to us and to this nation that if we would turn to You, there is hope. Fill our leadership with the humility and the courage to turn to You. Show them their time of great and unprecedented need, and may it be so overwhelming that they can determine that only You, only the true and living God can help us. ...and may they run to You to find Your grace, Your mercy, Your sacrifice for them. May they come to the point where they know that You will show them the path through this mess which we have brought upon ourselves.

May there be a movement to You. May there be an outpouring of prayer and supplication before Your throne. Move the Body of Christ as is appropriate to the situation and strengthen us to move swiftly at the unction of Your Spirit. Capture us to hear Your voice. Sensitize our spirits to know Your Spirit and be committed to following quickly and with stealth.

With You all things are possible. Awaken the Body of Christ. Help us be willing to get in spiritual shape to serve You effectively; not in our own strength, but in Yours.

Matthew 19:26 (KJV)
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

For U.S. Judges to embrace the Ten Commandments and Christ's teachings

***That our judges would value and regard the Ten Commandments and the teachings of Christ.

Psalm 19:7-11
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Your ways are perfect, O Lord. Your statues, Your law, Your commandments are before us as the standard to which we should strive. Yet, we cannot attain them. No matter how hard we try, we are found wanting. Truly, Your commandments lead us to failure—unless we Your provision through Christ. You knew that we would not be able to keep these commandments. We will always fall short. May this help us to realize our need for You...for Your salvation, Your guidance, Your redemption.

Unless You open our eyes to see, there is no hope. So how can our judges embrace the en commandments and Christ's teachings, if failure is the inevitable result? Change our hearts. Change the heart of every U.S. Judge to value Your standard of perfection. We seem to be so set on attaining the mark, that we have had to lower it or be failures. Unless You open our eyes to value our failure as an asset, then we are totally lost.

Forgive us for our desire to attain our goals, that we lowered the standard. We have done this over and over again. And now, our standard is so low, that we outwardly defy Your commandments, Your statutes, and Your testimonies. We not only defy the teachings of Christ, but we now have laws that support those who oppose You. Forgive us.

Forgive us for not raising our voices against these new laws and regulations in our nation. Forgive us for not praying and trusting more. Forgive us for not being on guard.

Change us! Change our judges. Change hearts. Change our land.

Your standard is true. Your standard is perfect. We need You. We need to embrace You and Your standards. Open our minds and hearts to see Your commandments as the only approach to life, living, and a functional society. May we analyze our past with the present and heartily return to the past, where we were in a place where You could bless us.

Call us to pray for those who judge. Call us to pray for those who define the laws of the Unites States. Create an army of prayer warriors that watch and pray for our land that we may once again be honorable.

Father, may this begin in every believer in Christ. May it spread to homes and neighborhoods. May it grow without hindrance that we can again raise up leaders who respect You and will embrace Your standards and the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Protection for Service Men and Women, No. 2

***That God would protect our service men and women both home and abroad. Also those who serve as first responders.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Heavenly Father,
Many people desire to serve this nation, once great, and to protect the freedoms that we have enjoyed. They enlist in the service and serve diligently. Father, why did these people go into this line of work? They endanger themselves: men and women in the services, fire and policemen and women, first responders, including our national guard. Why? Because they see their mission to protect what we have and to serve others.

Protect them Father.

As our nation falls into deeper rebellion, it has become increasingly dangerous for these individuals. Grant them keen discernment. Trust has deteriorated between these individuals and everyday people. Help us all to find unity. Help us all to find ways to re-establish the trust and to identify the goals that we can all support.

Draw men and women of top character into these professions. May the be stalwart defenders of our nation. Raise up their hearts to be staunchly uphold our Constitution. Up gird their bodies. Strengthen them - all of them: their joints, bones, muscles... Strengthen them, psychologically...their mental faculties to be sharp and clear. Father, these individuals need to respond immediately to situations - give them instant reflexes that they can trust—that they know and respond appropriately to the situation to differentiate between potential harm, and need.

Father, our nation seems to be closing in on anarchy. People are taking matters into their own hands and these men and women, who serve, are caught in the middle, which has become increasingly dangerous. Protect them, Father. Surround them with Your heavenly hosts.

Overseas, there is deeper and deeper tension. It is hard to know who stands for Your ways. Give these service men and women courage. Grant them wisdom in their words and actions. Pour a goodly amount of common sense when determining their course of action.

For those that make critical decisions, may they seek You for direction. Father, we need a better moral and civil code. Give us help to align what we ask people to do with Your will and Your code of ethics. I ask that those who carry out orders, both in the civil and military community not have ethical or moral issues with what they are asked to do. May the quality of the decisions and orders hold strong before Your standard.

Again, Father, protect these people: physically, mentally, morally, psychologically. Protect them as they serve and may our nation turn back to You, that we have no regrets when we stand before Jesus Christ and His judgement.

Please pray with me:

Father, You are the Creator. There is manifold evidence that the entire earth was created and did not evolve. The beauty of Your creation is delightful. The seasons bring new beauty each year. The sunrise brings new beauty each day. Thank You.

We delight in the beauty of the seasons, and enjoy the newness of each Spring. We forget that You have created this earth. We live each day, encapsulated in Your creation and we so easily take it for granted. Forgive us. There is evidence all around us that You are the Creator, and yet we ignore it and ignore You and we amuse ourselves with every distraction. Forgive us.

You have made us in Your image...and we too create. We distinguish ourselves from all the other creatures by our desire and ability to create... and to do so for he pure joy of creating. Thank You.

Father, as we, as a society in the U.S. have fallen away from our identity as "One nation under God," we have taken so much of our art and our artistic creations on a different path. Our artistic abilities seem bent on reflecting our desires rather than our position before Your throne of grace. We have made ourselves important. We serve our desire and somehow we have come to believe that expressing the tenor of the world, and our desires is more pleasing than reflecting You: Your goodness, Your care. Your wrath and justice. Forgive us.

Show us the path back. Bring about a new movement of artistic reflection to the U.S. Holy Spirit, unite our hearts in every genre: music, painting, sculpture, dance, graphic design... Bring us back to stand before our Creator. Give us a heart to ask You to lead and guide us and to use us in unforeseen ways to depict You in all our creations.

Our creations are many. Raise up those artists who are led by Your Spirit. Lead them that many others be drawn together in a movement, by Your Spirit, to create all kinds of artistic renderings that would please You and would draw others to You. Give us discernment to hear Your voice, and to commit ourselves to reflecting a God of love and of justice.

Holy Spirit, draw artists to the Word and grant us a sever hunger and thirst to know the living God deeper. Grant us renewed relationship and insight into the character of God the Father and into our Lord Jesus Christ and You, Holy Spirit. Give us skills that our art would be intriguing, and would draw people to You. Show us how to express the attributes of God in all that we do.

May our lives be lived in close communion and fellowship with You. May we become small and insignificant in our own eyes so that You can become significant and be glorified through us and our artistic creations. May our creations reflect who you are because we have taken on the character of Christ Jesus.

Salvage us. Renew all of us. Draw us together to serve You. You are the true and living God. Thank You.

Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
3 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Our nation is so broken. Our education system, our government, our society in general. Our families are broken. Even our churches and our faith seems deeply broken. Truly we have become a nation of broken hearts and broken minds.

We need your help. \

What if every father, whether in the home or not, would exercise godliness... Over 75 million fathers. Would You call them to godliness? Would Your Holy Spirit incite them to be consciously examine their behavior and conscientiously seek godliness? Would You give them a spirit of diligence to self-management. I ask it.

Please give fathers a desire to set an example for their children. Well up their love for their children and teach these fathers that their responsibility is before You, the mother, and the children. May this weigh heavily on their hearts. Weigh down their thoughts. Establish fathers all over this land to desire the best for their children.

Grip their thought life. Open their eyes to see the manner in which their children carefully watch. Establish in the minds of these fathers that their children are learning from them: what is acceptable; how to act; how to manage anger; how to express love—how to care. Father, even their personal habits of hygiene and health are being learned. Show them how their emotions affect their children. Open their eyes that they may "see" their own words working through the lives of their children.

Melt their hearts. Grip each father in this land. Father...this is not a prayer just for the fathers who have left their wives and children. This is for ALL fathers...those present and those who are not.

Clearly show them, in ways they cannot escape, that their presence and absence,is critical to their children. Give them the desire to be present and establish positive relationships and influences with their children.

Consider the fathers who are in their homes and the lives of their children? ...and whose example is negative...day in and day out. Please cause change in these lives: convict every father of the negative influences, the frustrations they have poured out on their children. Convict them of the times they have justified their absence.

Only You can do this. Would You do use pastors, ministers, group leaders? Would You use churches? Community groups? Civic groups? Father, please use all of them and gazillions of other means to establish biological fathers and true, responsible parents to their children. It could transform this nation, which has fallen so far behind.

Please help us pray. May wives and mothers pray diligently for the father of their children. May pastors and believers fall on our knees that godliness, as YOU define it, is established back in the United States.

Heavenly Father,
You are consummate wisdom. You are not bound by time and You understand the future results of our actions. You graciously provided Your law that we would be protected and would know our shortcomings. Thank You.

We are shortsighted. We cannot know the results of our decision when we make them. And we are consumed with information and sometimes, we do not even recognize the results when they happen because we are so distracted. I have not taken time to listen to You as I should. I have not taken time to seek You carefully and then wait for Your response. nor have I diligently prayed for godly counsel for myself and those in authority. Forgive me.

Father, I seek You for godly counsel. As this nation is at the greatest crossroads in its history, as it responds to the ungodly decisions that have been made; that have ramifications...grant us godly advisers. As we look to the future, near and far, and make decisions, may we discern the godly counsel from the deluge of information. We can not do this without Your help.

Father, we are now in a place where the consequences of our decisions of the past are hard upon us. I cower within myself that I have not prayed for those in authority. Yet, I now repent and search You, O God, for God-fearing advisers in this nation.

Grant us hope. Grant us a resurgence of prayer, of seeking You, and to revive our trust in who You are and in Your Word. Our leaders need Your Holy Spirit. They need to know that their decisions must not be made on their own. May those in authority seek You diligently. May they surround themselves with god-fearing mentors.

Father, You are our only hope. Draw us to hope in You. Raise up an army of prayer warriors to seek You daily on behalf of those who make decisions, those who lead, those who advise.

Cause our leaders and those in authority to find a quiet place where they can meet with You and seek Your guidance. Grant them discernment to know who is giving godly advice and who is not. Once the path is evident, give them strength to carry through. Surround them with the support needed, especially with regard to the media. Father, may our leaders and those in authority not be alone. Surround them with those of Your choosing.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

You are our Teacher. Engage with us that we may know how to teach our children. By and large, our schools have failed miserably. Many public and "inner city" schools are in total disrepair. And yet, we send our children there to learn. Our colleges and universities—once based on Your Word, now defy their original intentions and push the intellects of their students to embrace rebellion. Forgive us.

The atmosphere is filled with sickness: social, physical, psychological and mental, and spiritual. We have not risen up to improve these facilities. We have not nurtured a society that values godly teachers. We have not consistently voted for taxes and referendums that would have improved our schools. Father, instead, many of us have simply moved to the suburbs and ignored the situation of those less fortunate. Forgive us.

Raise us up anew! Place on the hearts of young and mature teachers to help to tackle this problem! Select a chosen army of teachers and administrators that will courageously and creatively find solutions to change this deplorable and embarrassing situation. Father, is there a "Moses and Aaron" team (or many teams!) that would speak before the nation's audiences to advocate for our schools?

Would You bring these people to the public eye and equip them to change the attitudes of those who would help? Father, would You appoint spokespersons from every town, city, county, state and at the national level to invigorate our nation to find real answers for our schools. We need protagonists! Polished spokespersons with the gift of persuasion. You gave Moses an Aaron very specific words to say. You laid out the process so that Pharaoh's heart would be changed. Would you find these people here in the United States and do the same? I ask it.

Father, You know the administrators and teachers that would be open to Your Word and would be able to integrate it into the daily curriculum. Raise up these teachers! Press on their heart to commit themselves to the teaching profession. Oh, at all levels: from the pre-schools and nursery schools through every Ph.D. program in the U.S.

Father, wouldn't it be exciting to see our schools return to godly principles? I ask it. Raise up other people who will pray with me for our schools. May we be diligent and know that this is our future for this nation. Our schools prospered when we honored You. We have forgotten it and we have rebelliously turned from You. Forgive us. Change our hearts. Unite us to turn this around. May there be a great and glorious revival of godly principles from Your Word to infuse our schools. And we will give You the glory.

U.S. Election Prayer No. 5: For voters to seek truth and clarity.

Malachi 2:2
If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My name,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘I will send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart'.

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
The campaign rhetoric is disheartening. Defamation of character has become the norm in the Republican camp as candidates degrade themselves and each other. The sight and sounds have become confusing. The mixed messages are overwhelming. The verbal dissonance has cluttered issues and distracted us.

This nation, once humbled by the words, "In God we trust." has sought our own way. We have made our desires to mandate the direction of our legal system. As a nation, we have caused our legal system to bend to our desires of convenience and pleasure. Father, I have not prayed against this. Forgive me and pour out prayers from Your Spirit that I may honorably repent. Bring others that we may gather in prayer on behalf of our nation.

Father, lies and immoral, unethical behavior seems pervasive. People are angry; sick and tired of dishonest, self-serving government that spends what we do not have. We are tired of officials who do not lead moral, ethical lives. Help us turn to You.

Many of us want bigger government to meet our needs. We want it to bend to our immediate wants and desires. We have lost sight that Your direction is for our safety. We have forgotten, or we dismiss, that You have structured how we should live as a testimony of Your love for us, that we may find safety, credence, and security if we will be obedient. Instead, we seek immediate gratification of our desires. We have set our own way. Whe have chosen our own path that You have warned, will lead us to destruction.

Cause our hearts to turn and desire Your path, Your way, Your priorities.

Bring us to prayer on how we should respond. Plant prayers in the hearts of believers for truth to rise to surface of all the rhetoric. Open our eyes to truth. Grant us wisdom to see truth. Give us clarity on how to honor You as a nation and return to obedience. Give this nation a renewed spiritual wealth that clarifies a future that honors You. Father, please strengthen us for the road ahead, that Jesus Christ is honored.
