Free from Bitterness and Anger

You are merciful, O God of the Ages. You created all that exists, all that we are, all that we feel. You created anger. You created evil. You get angry.

Yet, You have directed us in Ephesians 4:31-32:
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Thank You for this direction. Yet we cannot do it on our own. You enable us to accomplish this through the Power given us by the Holy Spirit, and through Hesus' work on the cross.

Most of my neighbors do not know of this power. Do they desire to be free from bitterness, wrath, and anger? What about malice? Or are they content with it? Father, we get comfortable with the daily regimines that fill our lives. We blindly go from one thing to another. Forgive us for the ruts that we embrace that do not serve You.

Forive us for embracing the comfort that is easy rather than seeking the best that You have for us.

You offer kindness, tenderheartedness and forgiveness. You have made it readily available to us. Forvie us hwen we choose the ways of the world over the hard-won work that brings life.

You demonstrate these assets every day in our lives. You have given us Your Word where we can read about them. Truly we have no excuse.

Work in our lives that we may known know Your love and build relationship with You,

in Jesus' Name,

Maranatha.

Dear reader, do you want to know Jesus as Savior. You can. Today.
Here is how.
