Our Judges, Ten Commandments, Teachings of Christ, No. 2

***That our judges would value and regard the Ten Commandments and the teachings of Christ.
Psalm 19:7-11
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Becuse of Your love, the Love of Jesus Christ, because Your Holy Spirit is within, we have hope. We are sinners, all of us, and evil seems to prevail all around us. Yet You have given us guidance! We are not without hope. We have Your Word on how we shall live and Your Spirit to lead, guide, and strengthen us. Hallelujah!

Your law is perfect. Help each American to cherish it deeply, that every soul be converted. Enliven us to demonstrate the love of Christ, that others may desire to be converted as well.

Your testimony is sure. Help Lord, that we seek out Your testimony. Open our eyes that we not miss Your work—either in our own hearts, or in our nation. Open our hearts that we desire to join You in the work that You are doing in our lives, our neighborhoods, and our nation. Show us how to receive the work of the Holy Spirit that we may be strengthened to complete each day, living completely for You.

Show us how to avail ourselves for Your work. Teach us to put Your work ahead of our own.

You make wise the simple. Father, please open our eyes to see the simple. You have not hidden Your work from us. You have not made it difficult nor have You concealed Your path. Your wisdom is available for the asking. Grant us an insatiable curiosity to seek Your wisdom and to find it in the simple.

Surely, Your creation reveals that You are God and that You are the Creator. Help us seek You out in hope, knowing that You desire to give us wisdom that we may thrive.

Hear this prayer for the United States and our Judges. Father, as we have abandoned Your Word—may our judges not do so. May they see their wisdom fall short. May they look back through their work and realize that the wisdom of man leads to destruction.

Every day, as judges and justices read and hear the news, may they realize their own impotence. May they see their inability to do their jobs and live their lives effectively. May we all realize our impotence as we move on our own wisdom and strength. May it not be enough. Grant us a hunger and thirst for righteousness.

Your directions about relationships and behavior is clear. You have given them for our protection, and yet we go our own ways. Convict us, convict our judges to see Truth: the Ten Commandments, and to seek out the teachings of Christ. Jesus Christ—You are Truth. You are the Way, and You are Life. Father, in Your mercy, may we find our way back to You. Have mercy O God of justice.

You are to be desired than all the wealth of the world. Truly, Your Word, Your way, Your justice, Your righteousness, Your holiness, Your purity...give us a desire for these. May the American people, and especially our judges see the filth and disgust that comes from our own wisdom. Lead us to deeply repent of following our own ways and to seek You as we see the results of our sinful choices.

Give us a dream, a vision, a desire for something better! May we desire Your wisdom and judgement that is better than fine gold and sweeter than honey.

May all Americans, and those in our judicial system be warned and hear Your forewarning, that Your commandments and the teachings of Christ are for us. They are there to keep us safe. May we seek the reward that You have stored for us, that we may be re-stored.

Help LORD, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

In Jesus’ Name.

For U.S. Judges to embrace the Ten Commandments and Christ's teachings

Heavenly Father,
Your ways are perfect, O Lord. Your statues, Your law, Your commandments are before us as the standard to which we should strive. Yet, we cannot attain them. No matter how hard we try, we are found wanting. Truly, Your commandments lead us to failure—unless we Your provision through Christ. You knew that we would not be able to keep these commandments. We will always fall short. May this help us to realize our need for You...for Your salvation, Your guidance, Your redemption.

Unless You open our eyes to see, there is no hope. So how can our judges embrace the en commandments and Christ's teachings, if failure is the inevitable result? Change our hearts. Change the heart of every U.S. Judge to value Your standard of perfection. We seem to be so set on attaining the mark, that we have had to lower it or be failures. Unless You open our eyes to value our failure as an asset, then we are totally lost.

Forgive us for our desire to attain our goals, that we lowered the standard. We have done this over and over again. And now, our standard is so low, that we outwardly defy Your commandments, Your statutes, and Your testimonies. We not only defy the teachings of Christ, but we now have laws that support those who oppose You. Forgive us.

Forgive us for not raising our voices against these new laws and regulations in our nation. Forgive us for not praying and trusting more. Forgive us for not being on guard.

Change us! Change our judges. Change hearts. Change our land.

Your standard is true. Your standard is perfect. We need You. We need to embrace You and Your standards. Open our minds and hearts to see Your commandments as the only approach to life, living, and a functional society. May we analyze our past with the present and heartily return to the past, where we were in a place where You could bless us.

Call us to pray for those who judge. Call us to pray for those who define the laws of the Unites States. Create an army of prayer warriors that watch and pray for our land that we may once again be honorable.

Father, may this begin in every believer in Christ. May it spread to homes and neighborhoods. May it grow without hindrance that we can again raise up leaders who respect You and will embrace Your standards and the teaching of Jesus Christ.

In Jesus’ Name.

Prayers for the Sanctity of Life: No. 6 of 7

***Praying for Court Cases that are critical to the pro-life cause
Isaiah28:14-22
14 Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
21 For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
We have appointed judges in our land. We have entrusted them to abide by the initial intentions of our founding fathers that we be a nation that loves what You love and hates what You hate. Deception and pride have taken deep root within us. Many have stood by, I have stood by, and watched without praying. Forgive me. Forgive us.

Consequently, the matters have become life-threatening. We have continued to do nothing or to do little. Forgive us, and give us strength and hearts of action to move swiftly to our prayer closets. Give us voice. Give us words speak, and courage to proclaim truth and justice. As our Supreme court determines the interpretation of our laws, give them insights that align with Your Word. Cause them to see rightly as You define it. Cause their hearts to change. You caused Pharaoh’s heart to harden, and You caused him to relinquish his pride and power. You are the same yesterday, today and forever. I ask that you give these men and woman hearts that honor You.

May the testimonies of women be heard. Open the mouths of women who have lived through the ramifications of abortion. Let their stories be heard and may people be open to hearing those stories and taking them to heart. May these testimonies cause the hearts of the judges to soften and may they mourn deeply for those children we have lost.

Grant our nation quietness to truly contemplate the loss of the 57 million lives that have been taken from us. Cause us to seek Your heart on this matter and give us voice and a sense of urgency to urgently take up the mantle of life on behalf of the unborn. May those who can give, give generously. May those who can speak, speak courageously and convincingly. Father, may hearts change. Please change hearts on this matter that we may no longer be embarrassed before You and before men.

Intervene, oh God of life. Intervene on behalf of the lives of children who are at risk, even in the womb. Give our Supreme Court justices hears and minds to hear and perform Your will. May they know Your will deeply in the secret places of their hearts and minds. May those voices be raised up. May they get louder and louder so that they can not be ignored.

Father, please align us with Your will on this issue.

Hear my prayer, in Jesus’ Name.
