The U.S. and Iran Deal...a prayer for godly wisdom

***The U.S. and Iran Deal...a prayer for godly wisdom.

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Your Word:
Psalms 122:6
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 3:17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
In direct obedience, I come praying for the peace of Jerusalem. You have commanded that I do so. Many are concerned with the Iran Deal and we bring our concerns directly to You. Your Word focuses on the nations in the middle east, extending outward. So this focus for peace centers around Jerusalem. We need Your wisdom to pray. Our leaders need Your wisdom.

May believers in the United States grow a love for Jerusalem in their hearts for You. It is Your city. It's very meaning is City of Peace, Foundation of Peace. Iran threatens Israel and Jerusalem. We need Your wisdom to pray. Our leaders need Your wisdom to make godly decisions.

We lack knowledge and understanding. Our desire is to pray in accordance with Your Word. I pray for our leaders—grant them the wisdom from above. Grant them insights into the Iranian mindset to understand the triggers that define their words and actions. Grant every person involved in these decisions a spirit of humility that he or she needs You. May they clearly admit their impotence; that regardless of their "intelligence," their wisdom is limited. They need the wisdom from above. May they be cognizant of this fact and search Your Word and pray fervently for Your guidance.

We are already at war with the enemy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Again, and again, I ask that You raise up an army of prayer warriors. May prayers rise up before Your throne of grace unceasingly from this nation on behalf of our leaders, those in authority, and for the peace of Jerusalem.

Your Word promises to give wisdom, "liberally" to those who ask for it. I am here asking for it. I ask on behalf of our leaders: President Trump, Vice President Pence, decision makers and influencers in our armed forces, lawmakers in Washington and each state in the U.S. Father, I'm asking for wisdom for this nation, that we may confess our sin and return to You. Pour out Your spirit of wisdom that we may see our sin. May teachers and preachers of Your Word have the courage to speak out with conviction that this nation confess and repent of our sin.

We lack wisdom. May our leaders and decision makers know that their wisdom, regardless of the extensive network of information, is limited. Urge our leaders to seek Your wisdom. May they acknowledge their limitations and by Your Spirit, see Your wisdom...the wisdom from an omniscient God, who gives liberally to those who ask.

Beckon our leaders to acknowledge their need. May every one of them realize and confess their sin before You, that You may delight in pouring out of Your wisdom.

We need You. May this nation again...rejoice in You alone.

Hear my heart before Your throne of grace and mercy,

In Jesus’ Name.

That our leaders would be prepared to give and account to Almighty God

***That our leaders would be prepared to give an account to Almighty God
Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your Word that so clearly outlines that our days are numbered. We know this from history. Our bodies will all die. Yet, Your Word also indicates that we are more than just our body; we are soul and spirit as well.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
You tell us that after our body dies, we will be held accountable to You, our Maker. How can we ever stand before Your as we are? We are all sinners. Of our own accord, we cannot possibly justify ourselves, our actions, our thoughts.

Father, leaders have a particularly difficult time. They are in the spotlight. Their decisions are often public. The ramifications of their actions affect those they lead and oftentimes, for years to come. They need Your help. They need insight. They need to hold dear and close, that they will stand before You.

Yet, You did not leave leaders without guidance. They do not have to make decisions alone. You have given us wise counsel, and You have offered Your wisdom, if we will ask.
Proverbs 24:6
For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counselors there is safety.

James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
Father, help us to ask. Give our leaders and insatiable desire to seek You and ask for wisdom in the decisions that they make. Give them an ear to clearly hear Your voice. Touch their mind so that their hearing can lead to understanding. And grant them strength to follow through, that they may stand blamelessly before You.

Truly, we are all sinners. So there is no way we that any of us can stand blameless before You at the time of our judgement. But You have made a way. You have given us Jesus Christ, Who has died for our sins and and offered salvation to each of us, if we will admit our sin to You and receive Your Gift. How can our leaders lead, without access to Your wisdom? How can they access Your wisdom without first admitting their need?

Father, cherish our leaders. Give them questions to ask You! Give them wise counsel. Grant them discernment to choose wisely. Compel them to read Your Word, to find relationship with You and to seek You so that they may lead in such a way that they are ready to give account at the time of their judgement.

Help us all, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

In Jesus’ Name.

Judges and Supreme Court Justices, No. 1

***That our judges and Supreme Court justices would adjudicate with godly wisdom.
Proverbs 29:2
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this nation that was founded on the desire for justice as defined by godly wisdom. Your Word tells us You are Holy and You hate injustice. May we seek You for the wisdom that brings justice as You define it.

We have sets of people, our Supreme Court justices, who set the laws of our land. They have not protected the rights of all people. They have had the last word in redefining marriage, in the separation of “church and state” … Father, we have not prayed for them as we should. Forgive us. We have not prayed for the direction of our nation and I have watched from the sideline and not participated, even in the privacy of prayer. Forgive me.

I bring these justices before You and the enormity of their decisions. They need Your godly wisdom. Your Word tells us to treasure wisdom.
Psalms 19:7
The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple
May our judges and justices have an insatiable hunger for Your wisdom. May they throw relativism out and seek You. Furnish them with Your Word and may it feed their souls. May they understand that they lack wisdom in and of themselves and may the diligently seek You.
James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Father, may this be their prayer. Open their eyes to the fact that they will stand before You at the end of their days. Impress upon them to seek You that they may stand without shame, knowing they have been diligent. Establish within each heart that they are incapable, truly, they are inept without You, the Founder of True Wisdom.

Delight their hearts with Your Word. May they lavish in it, read it, and delight in it. May the fascination of Your Word so entice them that they seek You in every decision that they make. May each one find relationship with You that is foundational to living and may they seek Your help in their daily walk.

Father, press upon these men and women that their decisions are grave. Press upon them the gravity of their work and may they understand that they are weak, inept, and flawed. May the light of Christ, The Living Word, be their fortress, their wisdom and the foundation of their decisions.

Bring many Spirit-filled believers around them to pray, support and encourage each one of these men and women, and may they have rest and peace, knowing that they serve the Most High God in their work for this nation.

In Jesus’ Name.

For God-fearing, Accountable Leaders of Action, No. 1

***That our leaders would be god-fearing and recognize that they are accountable to Him for each decision and act.
Proverbs 9:10
10“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
I bow humbly before You, grateful for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that I may come before You. I don’t have any merit of my own. I am a sinner. Even when I have been covered by the blood of Christ, I have not prayed for our leaders and nation as I should. I know that You commanded me to do so, but I have not made it a habit. Forgive me and show me the path to repent—to do my part.

You have mandated that all of us, every person, will be held accountable for his or her actions and decisions. We will even be held accountable for our very thoughts. Thank You. Fill us with fear that we may live carefully and accountably. Show us how to think and live, that on that day, we can stand with confidence that Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith; that He has brought us through. Fill us with confidence that through Christ, it is possible.

Father, our leaders are barraged by influencers. Grant them discernment to understand the motivations of those with agendas that seek to influence them. Grant them a vision for the ramifications of their actions and decisions for the long-term…not just for those who will be affected by the decisions, but when they stand before You on the day of their accountability.

Fill them with the “Fear of the Lord”…may it cause them to seek a pure heart and to seek Your will. May they not pass up an opportunity to build trust with those who are relying on them. May they put their trust in You so that they may be found trustworthy and realize that You are also relying on them. May they seek and receive the wherewithal to be honorable before You and have the faith that You will provide.

Band those who would be accountable together…that they may set the example of how You want our leaders to act. May they demonstrate to others that You are the True and Living God and Father, prosper them with Your grace, that others would join. Give these people the love of Christ - that is sacrificial. Build up trust in Your path that they walk by the Spirit.

Encourage them in the hard times, and may they encourage each other and know that You have called them to this time and place and that You will be with them through the consequences of their actions. May they act accordingly and be granted the peace that passes all understanding.

In Jesus’ Name.
