The wicked shall not prevail (Psalm 49)

Hear ye, hear ye.
Listen, all people on the earth!

A call to all, low or high, rich or poor. You are called this day.
Hear the wisdom from on high. Hear the wisdom of the Lord. Listen to gain understanding.

God, Almighty God is speaking to you. Hear to the sound of music.

Why should there be fear in the days that bring trouble?
Why should there be fear when evil surrounds us?
Evil comes from those who rely on their wealth and boast about how rich they are... does it frighten you?

Can anyone redeem his brother or pay a ransom to God for his life?
No.
For the price is too high.
There is no way for you to cause your brother to live on eternally.

Judgement comes. Many will see the pit.

Their riches are nothing. They cannot buy life. They have their schemes and have convinced themselves that they are gods. They can bring forth life. Their schemes are falsehoods. They are deluded with lies and they proclaim themselves gods based on lies from the pit of hell.

They have partnered with the Father of Lies, Satan. They worship him without knowing. For he has convinced them to do his evil work and they have given their hearts over to evil.

They think their wealth makes them powerful, and that they have power over life; but their lives will be called in due time. They will not escape the judgement to which all men are called.

Truly, their corrupt estates will be dust and blown away by a slight wisp of wind. They are the manner of the foolish. Their time is limited. They are destined for Sh'ol, where they will waste away. They will have no dwelling, but their agony shall never cease.

Those who have been redeemed by Messiah will be received into heaven.

Don't be afraid of the rich and wealthy. They can't take it with him. They may seem happy in their control, but it is fleeting. He will join his ancestors and never see the light again.

They fail to grasp that, like animals, they will die. They will not be "Humans 2.0." Their delusion only distracts them from truth.

Take heart. Our God is the One True God. He redeems those in Christ Jesus: Yeshua Hamashiach. Praise His Name. In Him is salvation. Stand strong and proclaim His redemptive work on the cross... He did it for you. Embrace His love for you and receive your salvation today.

Maranatha!

Praying for the U.S. (Psalm 39)

O God of gods, the One True and Living God...
Your eyes are on all the earth and You miss nothing.
You order the steps of nations and You watch to see how individuals will manage the free-will that You give us. You miss nothing. Nothing escapes You.

I come. I devote myself to watch my behavior and to not sin with my tongue. The wicked are all around, yet I strive to be obedient. I strive not to return evil for evil, but dedicate my words to return good for their evil.

I am silent. I say nothing, but the pain keeps welling up within me. My heart grows hot as I see the wicked prosper. Fire burns within me. Show me, O God, my end.

My days are numbered, how them shall I live. I am but a transient creature, a handbreadth. For You, our lives are but nothing. The length of our lives is nothing compared to the eternity of Your existence.

Everyone is but a puff of wind. We go about like shadows. We don't know who will benefit. You are our only hope. Rescue us from our transgressions that we not be the butt of fools.

I am silent. I keep my mouth shut - because You, O God have brought this devastation upon the land. You are just. You are right. Your righteousness is true.

What will cause You to stop raining blows upon this land? What can stop the pounding of Your fists that wear us down? What will motivate us to turn from our wickedness and stand before You in obedience?

Your discipline is ignored. People embrace their guilt with glee. They flaunt Your directions that would protect them. Did You send this delusion? ...at their request?

All are merely a puff of wind.

Hear my meager prayer and listen to my cry. Hear the weeping of my heart. Though I am but a traveler passing through, I have dedicated my life to You. I plead with You on behalf of this nation. Have mercy, O God of mercy.

Turn Your gaze upon me. Restore the joy of my (Your) salvation to my heart. Fill my mouth with words of Life that others may know You. Make me a conduit that others may turn find hope through Your Word.

Jesus, You are the living Word. Come quickly. Maranatha.

Is there hope for us yet?

Oh my God, my Father, Savior, and Holy Spirit,

You are the sovereign God. You reign over all things: past, present, and future. You set the course of this world, knowing the decisions we would make. You pour Your grace out before us, upon us, and upon our future. You have never usurped our free will to choose Your way or to go our own way. You are aware of every thought, motive, and step we have taken.

We have not chosen wisely. We have chosen to do “evil in the sight of the Lord.” …just like Israel. Left to our own desires, tempted by the world and Your enemy, we have chosen pitifully. Is there hope for us yet?

Your Word tells me You are the God of all hope and You hold all things in Your hands.
Mark 9:23 - Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Romans 15:13 - Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
I believe Your Word. Jesus, You are the Living Word. You are Faithful. I come. I confess that on every front, we have, as a nation, sought evil. We have become intentional about implementing laws that specifically display willful disobedience.
  • We have redefined Your marriage covenent.
  • Gender has become undefinable.
  • We have allowed prayer to be unacceptable.
  • We promote every anti-God agenda, and demand that others comply or face consequences.
  • We exalt the earth as God, worshiping Your Creation rather than You.
  • We seek every opportunity to refuse and refute Your Word, Your guidance, You presence and Your power.
We have been weak, sleepy, and we didn't pay attention as evil has saturated our culture, our government, our schools, and every expression of thought, speech, and action.

Many people are waking up. Many are praying for change. Are there people who would receive Christ? Is there hope for revival here?

You want everyone to be saved. It is Your heart that people are set free from this evil. Many are focused on how to bring Your Word, Your Gospel to those around them.

Raise up Your Word in our hearts. Each morning, invigorate us to put on our armor and move swiftly to battle. We are supposedly Your standing army. Help us to unite in prayer, by Your Holy Spirit, to stand. Open our eyes to the wiles of the enemy. Strengthen us to resist him, that we may reach those who desire Christ.

O God, have mercy on us, and help Your standing army to fight triumphantly in our thoughts, words, and actions.

For the Kingdom of Jesus Christ,

For American youth: to thirst and desire fellowship with God, No. 3

***That American students would have a thirst for God, like their forefathers.
Psalm 42:1
1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

We come on behalf of American Youth. Since the election, they have been swept by a spirit of fear. Many of Your church are making fun of them and minimizing the situation. Many of Your children are ridiculing the students, rolling their eyes and laughing... when the situation is providing incredible opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ.

We are passing up open invitations to offer Christ as a solution. Forgive us. You are the God who says:
1 John 4:18
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Father, You are perfect love. Thank You. Your love overcomes fear. Thank You. You give us Your peace. You have told us so:
John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Thank You for Your provision of peace instead of fear. Pour out Your peace upon Your church that we may bring it to those in need. You have clearly admonished us:
Ephesians 6:12
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Forgive us:
  • for ridiculing the response that students have had regarding the election.
  • for reacting and pronouncing judgement without searching for opportunity to present the Gospel of Christ.
  • for laughing at those who are afraid and seeking comfort.
  • for not immediately taking up the weaponry You have given us and going to prayer on behalf of these individuals.
  • for not finding them, listening to them, and bringing the peace You have placed within us to them.
  • for diminishing their pain and gloating over their loss.
Convict us of our error and redirect our thinking.

Father, it seems that many in Your church are still infants in our soldier training. Grow us, mature us, and form us into an army of the Gospel of Christ and open our eyes that we may seize opportunity and demonstrate Your love for all people.

For these who are suffering...let us join in prayer that they would thirst for comfort from You. May the Body of Christ bring that comfort to them. Fill us with compassion for them. Show us how to embrace them in ways that honor You. Form our hearts that You may send us. Enliven our bodies that we may be excited about being sent!

Father, give us all a thirst and desire for fellowship that surrounds us with comfort, peace, and security. This is the true love that comes from You and casts out all fear.

Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

In Jesus’ Name.

For American youth: to thirst and desire fellowship with God, No. 2

***That American students would have a thirst for God, like their forefathers.
Psalm 42:1
1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
You have created us in Your image and You have created us as body, soul and spirit. Thank You. We seem to have lost touch with our spiritual development. Surely, some of our current day philosophers seem to have taken over our thinking to determine our souls no longer exist. Restor them, that they too can enjoy You.

Our youth live in dire spiritual famine. Believing they are only thought and body, they seek what they do not know—they seek spiritual relief, spiritual filling. They seek relationship with their Creator and don't know that You are there for them. (Forgive us, who know You, for not seeking Your protection on our freedoms. Forgive us for not praying more for our leaders and lawmakers. Forgive us for falling asleep in our diligence. Grant us prayers. Help us to be diligent again.)

Father, we need You. Our Youth need You. Truly, they are seeking relief from their intense need to make sense of the world they live in. They need peace and don't know to seek out the Prince of Peace. Raise us up. Those who know You, Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.

Raise us up as an army of demonstrators that there is Peace to found in this world and it is only through You. Give us a message and place us where we can shout it from the rooftops. Establish us in platforms where youth, students of life, will see Your Peace within us and follow. Give us messages of salvation that resonates with them. May they have ears to hear and hearts to follow. May their eyes be opened and may they see that You are the One True and Living God and You are who they seek to fulfill the intense desire within them.

May they be reborn spiritually and find relief. Father, they suffer. They are hungry for food they cannot find. They are thirsty for the Living Water they do not know even exists. May they not settle for any other option. Strengthen them to continue seeking to find the "real" answer to their desires: Jesus Christ.

Father, may their trek be short. May they not wander in the desert, but come quickly before You and find grace to help in their time of need.

Plant these messages before them. May they search for, identify, and embrace the true Bread of Heaven. May they pass everything else that promises relief. Raise their bar on what they seek. May temporary answers from drugs, passing relationships, and unhealthy spiritual diversions be seen as cheap and unacceptable. Give them an appetite that holds out for the genuine...for Jesus Himself. Grant them a spiritual discernment to recognize Truth and embrace Him.

In Jesus’ Name.

Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

In Jesus’ Name.

For our American Youth, No. 2

***That American Youth would respect authority and practice accountability.
1 Tim 4:12
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

You are the Most High God. Thank You for Your graciousness and praise be to Jesus Christ, Your Son, who has secured salvation for all who will accept. All of the earth testifies that You are the Creator; that You are true; that You are patient, kind, and also a God of justice and righteousness. All the earth proclaims Your glory. Open our eyes to the comprehensive scope of who You are to us, that we may humbly fall on our knees and worship. You are worthy of worship.

There is enormous pressure on our American youth. They deal with great consternation and begin their adulthood with many years of constant messaging against their success. The weight is unimaginable. There are the messages of climate change and the doom of global warming; of our unimaginable national debt; of our broken political system and healthcare system. Father, they see a culture that is fractured in so many dimensions. The internet has given them access to so much information and news of the moment. Truly it is overwhelming to us all.

How are they to cope? Many are glued to their technology. What do they seek? Hope? Community? Belonging? Voice? Significance? Answers? You? We pray for them.

I ask You to cause mentors to rise up for them; men and women of Your Word. Bring in an army! Raise up an army of people with a heart for our youth! People who know how to listen. Men and women who will listen and hear! Mentors who are credible to our youth. Give our youth a discernment to choose wisely when deciding on their influencers. Give them a reasonability to think about their future.

Father, there are no answers without You. Their world cannot make sense without You. Their paths are all filled with the outpouring of this world and our sin. Cause us to repent. We have set their stage with our sin. Yes. My sin has contributed to the pressures that they face. Help me to repent. Forgive me and help me to take responsibility for my actions.

Raise up encouragers! Help me to be part of this army of people who listen to our youth, who have a heart for them and who can encourage them. Grant us credibility in their eyes when we discuss Your Word and the direction that they can find there. As they realize that they cannot fix what is going on here, may they seek You diligently for the path that will lead them t honorability when they stand before You.

Reveal Yourself to them in unique ways and raise up evangelists among them. Give them words that bring comfort, hope, and courage. Give our youth purpose as defined by a life lived for Christ! May it be their joy to proclaim the Gospel to their peers. Give them many organized networks of prayer warriors, evangelists, teachers, and caregivers. Father, cause them to establish an integrated network of communities that staunchly follow and proclaim Christ. Grant them malleable hearts that are Your delight.

Father, may our Youth find examples of accountability and see the wisdom. So much of our culture encourages them to do whatever they want and do so with consequences. Yet, You are going to hold us accountable. Reveal this to them and give them a heart to staunchly establish their path to follow the ethical and moral guidelines You have given us in Your Word, for our protection.

Authority is a tough thing here. Father, those in authority have not acted with credibility. Instead, many "leaders" have led our youth down the path of destruction and called it acceptable. The media has relentlessly told them that the outright rebellion of all that You have established—is better. Truly, good is evil and evil is good.

Isaiah 5

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:

23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Raise up leaders for them and from them. Help our youth to choose wisely whom they will follow. Clear out the muck and mire that has been laid before them and show them the bridge of Jesus Christ to know You, live for You, commune with You and live their lives in fullness ...because of Jesus' work on the cross. May this reality be their commitment and their Truth. May they never waver or question it in their heart.

In Jesus’ Name.

For American youth: to thirst and desire fellowship with God, No. 1

***That American students would have a thirst for God, like their forefathers.
Psalm 42:1
1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Hallelujah to the Most High God! Hallelujah to Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! You are the God of Salvation. You are the God of Holiness. Praise be to Your Name. O God of righteousness, You have sent Your Son; Jesus, You have joyfully given Your life, and Holy Spirit, You have graciously invited us into the inner sanctum of fellowship.

You have made Yourself available to all people through the sacrifice of Jesus. Thank You. Glory be to the Name of Jesus, who has covered and dismissed our sin.

Do we thirst to stand before the throne o grace? Do we begin our day before the throne of grace? Do w stop in the midst of our day to reinvigorate our strength? Do we close our day before You, that our rest would be sweet?

Give us a thirst—especially our youth. We spend so much time “doing” and so little time “being.” Surely, this is the place where we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Philippians 3:10
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Give us a thirst to know You. Show us this path. Mighty Holy Spirit, fr the youth, may they feel the dryness of their existence and diligently seek Jesus. May they not stop to be sated by emotional gratification, but forge ahead to living spiritual peace that comes only through the righteousness of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Give us all a need to daily come before Your throne of grace and take the time to know You. To put aside all other concerns and focus on You: who You are and who You have made us to be. Teach us the wonder of this place of worship and fellowship. May our thirst be so great, and our desire so intense that we run to stand before You.

Have mercy on us, Father. We get so caught up with the “stuff” of the day. Forgive us when we say that we get caught up with “life”…when Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Forgive us when we replace our life and its business, for Your Truth.

Give us all a willingness to make sacrifices in our lives to find the time to be before You, to develop relationship by spending time in fellowship. Especially our youth. Show us how to reach out to them and to welcome them. Give us words to communicate well by first listening to understand. Grant us focus to find fellowship with You before Your throne of grace that when the time of need comes, we know the way.

In Jesus’ Name.

For American students to desire God

*** That American students would have a thirst for God, like their forefathers.
Psalm 42:1
1As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this day and for the opportunity to com before Your throne. Lord Jesus, You are a King. Thank You for the privilege to come before You on behalf of this nation. Please encourage Your church to rise up in prayer. Holy Spirit, please equip us, daily to stand before the Throne of Grace and petition the One True and Living God. Teach us that the battle is not ours, but Yours.

Our youth flounder. They desire to be loved and many feel they must prove themselves worthy of Your love. Father, it isn’t true. Teach us to receive the Gift of Your Love, Jesus Christ. Jesus, the Gift of Your Sacrifice.

Holy Spirit, there are so many lies out there. The enemy permeates and barrages us with perpetual lies and uses truth against us! We are told that we are not worthy —and this is a truth! Cause us all to be driven to Your Word to know the rest of Your demonstration of Your Love.
Hebrews 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Father, we read those words but choose not to believe them. We do not practice Your Truths in our thinking. Forgive us. Holy Spirit, I ask for a call to repentance. Place a deep thirst within us, especially our youth, to dig deeply into Your Word and understand Your love for us. Show them the passages that Your love is individual as well as for humanity. Issue a “Wake up call” to all believers to know that Your love is real, it is personal and it is true.

Where will we find this knowledge…In the Word of God. Gracious Holy Spirit, may we thirst for the Word. May we hunger for Truth. We go about our day and do not make time for Your Word….forgive us. Then, in our haste, we are not aware that our spirits are calling out for spiritual food and drink. We become emaciated and do not notice. Please raise the vail! Cause the scales to fall from our eyes and to see our need.
John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Change our hearts and give us spiritual sensitivity on our condition. Open our understanding to see the answer is in Your Word. Establish habits of daily reading in Your Word in all American Youth. May it be the driving force in our lives, especially our Youth. Cause Your Church to put Your Word as a first priority in our lives…to study and to know You. May we set an example for our youth. May they see the connection between our behavior, the quality of our lives and the time spent in our Bibles.

Grant the church, especially our youth, to feed their desire deeper relationship with You. May we not stray from our moment of salvation. May that experience be foundational to having a heart to serve You, in gratitude and joy in our salvation.

Hear my prayer, in the Name of Jesus,

For our American Youth, No. 1

***That American Youth would respect authority and practice accountability.
1 Tim 4:12
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for our young people and their resilience. Thank You for their eagerness to bring change and desire to contribute. Father, they seek meaning in their lives, and they seek to make a difference. Thank You for them.

Our youth seem to have become wayward, disrespectful. But I must ask, have we shown them this path? Have we been wayward to Your Word and disrespectful of You and of them? Have we been dismissive to their calls to help, to contribute? Father, as we have turned our back to You, they have turned their back to us. Forgive us. Turn us around —all of us.

Show us how to set an example for our youth. Open our eyes to be keenly aware that our words, ways—our actions are being watched with great curiosity. Help us to live our lives, realizing that we are teaching our youth. Open our hearts to include them in our daily work and conversation. Give us a heart to reach out to them and be genuinely interested in their day, their challenges and their solutions, not just to their concerns, but to ours as well. Show us how to connect with them in meaningful ways.

You bring us to accountability; all of us. We will all stand before You and be held accountable for our actions, our thoughts, and our words. May we all live accordingly. Father, how can youth respect authority, if we aren’t respectful to Your authority? Help us to be accountable to You and to them! Show us this path for your church to practice accountability to each other and include the youth in that. Show us how to become solid, servant leaders and set the path, that our youth may see it, experience the results.

May our youth delve into Your Word and find Truth. May they have a heart to embrace it and value it. May they seek Your wisdom and hold it high esteem—as priceless. Father, please raise up leaders among our youth who will show the way. Please raise up “connectors” that will bridge the gap between themselves, their friend, and the older generations. Draw us together and show us the path. May all of us be diligent as we look to the time when we will stand before You and be held accountable.

In Jesus’ Name.
