Proverbs 6:16-19Please pray with me:
These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Proverbs 10:12
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins, acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.
Heavenly Father,
Hate has exploded in this nation and around the world. It is spreading like a cancer and has even infiltrated Your church.
Father, this is not the model that You have left us. This is NOT how You would have Your church behave. Have mercy, and pour out Your Spirit to lead and to guide us.
Bring us to repent! We have allowed this cancer. Call us to confess our part - both sins of commission and sins of omission. Convict us, please, Holy Spirit - we are desperate for Your conviction. Do not leave us in this horrible place —filled with the cancer of hate and anger.
Truly the enemy has the gained the upper hand —as hate and anger has infected and tricked Your church.
YOU set the standard of what we are to hate!
You hate:
Father, we have done ALL of these. I confess it! Every single thing You list that You hate, has been done. This didn't start at Charlottesville! It started long before. We, Your church have not prayed against the spirit of hate. We have not done our part and now the cancer has taken over. Call us to confess. Call those of us who have turned the other way to turn to You and confess our sin and repent. Call us.

Please, dear Holy Spirit, we are bereft of wisdom and we have become so consumed with personal desires that we have not looked up. We have not taken our place to care and protect our freedoms in this nation. We have turned blindly and we have not prayed fervently as You have been taken out of our culture. Call us to repent. Call us.
Surely, this started long ago, when prayer was taken out of the schools, when abortion became legalized, when the definition of marriage was changed, when... when... when... Call us to repent. Call us.
Peace has been stolen and hatred and indignation has taken its place. Have mercy.
Your church has been heisted. Surely, the elect has been deceived when we turn from Your mandate. You have set the standard for behavior:
Colossians 3:12-14:We, Your church, are not doing this. Some of us are lethargic and silent. Forgive us and call us to action. Some of us are angry and indignant. This is NOT what You have set as our acceptable response. Father, have mercy and wake us up.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Some of us have taken on the hatred and discontent of the world. We hate President Trump. We hate what people are saying and doing and we blame. We blame President Trump. We blame the church. We find fault and vomit out our hatred and blame. This is NOT what You have mandated us to do. Jesus, it is not the example that You have set.
Your Word tells us that You have clearly laid out that YOU choose our leaders.
Romans 13:1Then, it seems that our anger should be with You for choosing President Trump. Yet, we choose to hate, to disparage, to malign, to blame, to criticize... these are NOT the responses that You have given us. This is NOT how You expect us to behave. This is NOT how a child of the Most High God is to respond. Help us LORD, we have lost our way. Have mercy. Call us to repent. Please call us.
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
We have lost our ability to listen, especially to You. We will not listen or even talk about issues. There is no conversation. Our anger towards each other has now turned us against each other. We are in a state of rebellion. Have mercy O God, and call us to confess and repent. Call us.
Hate is spreading like a cancer...We need You O God. Call us. Give us ears to hear and hearts to repent.
1 John 4:20Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

Father in heaven,
ReplyDeleteYou have given us a nation where we have the privilege of voting for our leaders. Thank You for the lavish provision we have had over the centuries. Your blessings have brought our nation to the fore and given us the responsibility to care of the provision You have provided. Thank You.
Praise be to the God of our provision and the excellence that has been poured out. Praise be to the God who hears our cries. Praise and thanks to the One True and Living God who has set the nation on high.
Father, we have not taken care of this nation. We have enjoyed our freedoms and we have not protected them. We have enjoyed our lavish provision, but we have not given You the glory and we have not prayed for our leaders. Please forgive us.
Father, we have not prayed as the laws of this nation has turned against the very principles that You have set for us to be safe. So we are no longer safe. Our lavish life styles are dwindling.
More importantly, we are decrepit in our philosophies, and especially in our spiritual condition. We have become so used to the decrepit state that we think it is right. We rejoice in what You detest. Please forgive us.
We need Your conviction. Holy Spirit please crush our nation to turn to You once again. Please crush our hearts with our inadequacy. Turn our hearts to Your Word and to our Savior The Lord Jesus Christ. Call us. Please call us from our evil hearts and our evil ways.
May the cause of Christ - to save us be heard throughout the land. May a revival begin.
Father, we are not able to do this on our own. We deserve Your judgement. We deserve to be crushed. Have mercy. Call to may and may we hear Your voice to pray and beseech You on behalf of this nation.
Hear my prayer, in the Name of Jesus.
We have not taken care of our nation and we have not done our part.

ReplyDeleteYou have been an integral part of this nation since its inception. Thank You. But we have changed Your role from "founding Father" to "unwanted presence"...I am so sorry.
We have acted foolishly. We have separated ourselves from You and determined that we know what is best for us, leaving the very foundational statutes that brought us prosperity.
We think we have done it ourselves. We think we can direct our paths and that You, our Constitution, laws founded on Your Word, are no longer relevant. I confess theses things and plead for Your mercy.
The enemy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ has led these attacks and I and others have stood idly by while it happened. Please forgive us.
Our President is under constant attack from the enemy and those that have led these changes away from Your Word. These people are being used. Many do not know what they are doing. Have mercy.
Have mercy and protect President Trump. Surround him with men of Your Word. Give this man an ear to hear the "wisdom from above."
You have placed him in office for Your purposes. You have designed a clear strategy to help this nation, or destroy it. Either way, You have a clear path that we may know that YOU are God. That You are the LORD. Thank You.
This man, and those in authority in this nation, are all chosen by You. Have mercy on them. Gather those who would hear Your voice to You. Embrace them closely and give them ears to hear. Father, as they do Your will, please protect them and their families. Guide and direct them to seek You out daily and find wisdom from above.
We are in Your hands. Your judgements are just. Your wisdom for our future is right. I bow humbly at Your throne of grace and beg Your mercy.
