***Do we glory in our wisdom? Our power? Our riches? Our knowledge? Nay...let us glory in knowing God!

Jeremiah 9:23-26
23 Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

25 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;

26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

You are the One true and living God who knows us, sees, us, attends to us, and cares fro us. Your care has been superlative and You have prospered the United States. Our freedoms have come from You. Thank You.

Father, we have become wise in our own minds. We have used the wisdom You gave us and we have gloried in it. Now we have moved so far away from You as a nation, that we have become unrecognizable. We have used our riches to feed our every desire. We have become addicted to our need to consume. Have mercy.

Our desires have become addictions and we have nurtured habits of consumption. We have become so comfortable with our habits, that we have shut You out—that we might call our new society "good." We have left Your definitions and redefined our culture to fulfill our selfish desires.

We have redefined marriage and now we are redefining gender. We have made it to be whatever we want it to be. And we demand that the nation —as a whole —saffirm and assimilate into this man-made model that blatantly defies Your Word and the parameters of safety that You have ordained. Have mercy on us.

Father, we believe that the earth is ours. Forgive our folly. We have taken ownership and have even fancied that we understand the universe. We have gloried in our knowledge and abilities and used our creations to proclaim ourselves wise. Have mercy.

What is left for us to take from You? ...as if we could.

Please put a stop to our folly. Let us glory in returning to You. Change our desires, transform our thinking to seek You and to humble ourselves before You.

Your church has been silent. We have stood by and watched as the enemy has plundered our nation and stolen it, ravaged the poor, and destroyed the essential faith that has brought us the prosperity we have abused. Forgive us.

May we repent with a contrite heart and humble ourselves before You, that we may again be pleasing in Your sight.

Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

***Were we ashamed? Will we walk? Will we hearken?

Jeremiah 6:15-19
15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the Lord.

16 Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.

19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

You are the One True and Living God. Your righteousness and purity is beyond our comprehension. You call us to be like You and You have provided the way, through the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that we can come before You.

You have provided for us that our future be secured from separation from You. Father, You always provide...if we are willing. You always provide...when we do our part. You have been clear about the conditions of Your blessings and You have not been unreasonable. On the contrary, You invite, You implore, You plead with us to follow Your ways, that we may be safe and secured.

You have clearly spelled out the abominations that You detest. And clearly, we have not listened. We have continued in our ways and fed our desires. Truly, as a nation, we have killed the unborn and we have paid for those overseas to do the same. Forgive us.

Our current administration is taking steps to withdraw from this practice. Our current administration promises a SCOTUS that will uphold and value life. Have mercy O Lord.

May millions rise up and support this direction. You saw the March for Life! People overtly supporting this movement and standing against those who believe that abortion is a part of "womens' health."

Touch the hearts of many to rise up in support of Your directives. May we no longer strike and murder the unborn. Move in the hearts of newly pregnant mothers, those that support them, and raise up the army of women who have had abortions to join together to stop the carnage. Have mercy, O God, have mercy.

Strengthen us that this practice be eradicated from our thinking.

Open our hearts that we may be ashamed. Ashamed of what we have done, what we have supported, and ashamed that we have allowed this practice to continue while enjoying the bounty of Your blessings.

Marriage has been redefined. Father, we think we are so smart that we don't need You and we don't need Your direction. We have become proud. We don't want the "old paths" ...we want the new. We want what we want and we proclaim it to be good. Forgive us.

You have pleaded with us to seek Your ways and find rest for our souls. But we would not listen. Forgive us.

Many of us, who seek You, have turned away and said nothing. We enjoy our stuff. We have amused ourselves as our nation has gone the way of Your warning, while we turned away and refused to act, to engage, to love those who have turned away.

Father, Your church has disengaged from our nation for so long, that many young adults do not even remember any teaching about You. Forgive us and help us return to our first love—and proclaim it.

We have not watched. We have not hearkened to the sound of the trumpet. You set watchmen over us, and they spoke in vain for we would not listen.

The enemy has gained strength. The enemy has used our own to fight against us.

The opposition is now organized, funded, and powerful. And they are our children and our grandchildren—who have been captured by the enemy and are now used for his purpose. They are human shields against the enemy of Jesus Christ.

We are dismayed. May we repent. May we stand before Your throne and repent of our shame and petition You on behalf of these who have been taken captive.

Fill us with Your words that would turn their hearts back to You. May we again become actively engaged in this battle, standing before Your throne, worshiping in spirit and in truth, and speaking in love as Your Spirit gives us utterance.

May we once again hearken to Your Word. May we no longer reject You and may we embrace Your path with contrite hearts.

Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

***Can I contend with horses? ...a call to repentance ..No. 1

Jeremiah 12:5
5 If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

MONDAY:
Do the footmen weary me?
Can I contend with horses? If I am wearied in the land of peace, how shall I fare in battle?

There are a multitude of thoughts that pelt me. Teach me, O Lord. Have mercy on me and upgird my mind.

I claim 2 Timothy 1:7. I claim the power and love from You and I reject fear that comes against me. Teach me to serve You and stir up the gifts from Your Spirit. Teach me and remove the fear and reactions in me that thwart the testimony for Christ. Teach me fervent obedience to You.

Pluck out the evil that prevails in this land. Would it not be Your mercy? Open our eyes, our ears — may we hear the call to battle and respond.

Are there 10 righteous? Have mercy O God.

Eyes that do not see —or do they not look? Ears that do not or will not hear the call to arms. Father, I am no better. Forgive me. Upgird me to repent.

Awaken us — may Christ be served.

TUESDAY:
(My mind is in high drive. Thoughts without consequence. Help Lord. You ask me to do things that make no sense. I understand that they don't have to. But I wonder if I'm hearing Your voice. Am I doing Your work at the right time, in the right manner, and with the right heart? Being with a lot of people is hard. I struggle to manage the mental traffic that follows. Please help me.)

This nation has been a spiritual deaf-mute. We have not listened when we have heard. We have not acted. Forgive us. Teach us to pray for this nation.

(Please transform my thinking to manage all the stuff of my day and to handle the time-outs to be a fruitful joy with You. ...may I be found faithful.)

WEDNESDAY:
God of heaven, LORD of all the earth. You, who formed me —who formed the world where I live —You who created beauty that cannot be seen —justice that can not be embraced, —righteousness that cannot be touched, justice that cannot be embraced, —purity so great, that I cannot even contemplate it in my mind. ... You, who can be everything and yet You evaporate into nothing.

Have mercy on us —You have made us, created us, to be both finite in our bodies and infinite in our soul, You have embedded this understanding in us, yet we primarily look for significance in the physical. Forgive us. Lead us.

THUSDAY:
How do we give You the glory every day? (May I not cause You to weep —ever.) You see all that we do you see all that we think and You know our sin. You are not glorified in our nation anymore. Further, many work hard each day to remove everything that represent Your part of the success this nation has enjoyed.

They hate You. And Your church seems impotent to stand. We have grown fat and lethargic. Forgive us. We have not prayed; we have not sought You. We have not protected our freedoms to worship and to speak freely about the Gospel of Christ. Forgive us.

You are the everlasting God; You are the only hope for this nation.

Have mercy, O God and move our hearts to repent. May we all feel the shame of our deeds. Have mercy on us, O Lord.

Later:
We are bereft —your church —bereft of water: Your Holy Spirit —our eyesight is dimmed. Gone. Are we ashamed? Awaken us. Have mercy.

Our iniquity testifies against us. Our sin pronounces our wickedness and we have become comfortable with it.

You are our Hope —do it for Your Names' sake. Our backsliding establishes our guilt. You are our Savior in time of trouble. By our own hands, our own words, we are in trouble. Have mercy O LORD. O Hope of Israel — be our hope. God of Creation —recreate our hearts. Holy Spirit —convict us that we may repent. Crush us with knowledge of our sin.

Surely You have been made a stranger in this land. This should not be. We have evicted You from among us and we welcome all that hates You. Yet You, O Lord are in our midst And we are called by Your Name... Do not leave us.

FRIDAY (Inauguration Day)
Perfect God over all the earth. Teach me Your way for this day, this season, this life.

If you are in my midst, I take my safety in You. You are omnipresent...You are here.

Father, this nation loves to wander, and we go where ever our feet desire. We have put no restraints on our desires, nor any boundaries.

Is not Your Word clear? It is clear O LORD. Is Your care for us defined? And have You clearly articulated the places we should not go?

Your word is clear. Your care is defined and You have clearly articulated he boundaries of our safety. But we have ignored Your warnings. We have gone our own way.

Our gluttony of everything has become our god. We have gorged ourselves with out self-importance, with satisfying our appetites for food, stuff, sex, entertainment. We have fed our eyes, our ears, our bodies with every sensation imaginable. We have shunned Your Word. We have worked with diligence to remove every evidence of You from our sight, our day, our existence.

When we could not run from You, When we could not hide from Your existence, we waged war against You and openly performed every abomination to spite You.

SAVE US —LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!

Your church protects our comfort —as if we have a right to comfort because we associate ourselves with Your Son, Jesus Christ. We have become myopic in our daily lives —giving only as far as our comfort. Our comfort has been our god. We protect our comforts.

As we have seen the pain around the world, as media has allowed us to peer into the lives of other nations, and our own, Father, we have been eye-witnesses to:

• Severe hardship
• The sword, pestilence and famine.... And we have given paltry donations. We have given only what would not disturb our comfort.
• We give a little bit, and wash our hands. We turn away, uttering our paltry prayer under our breath..."Lord, be with them."

Forgive us O God, for our sin is great. We have run from You. We fight You and our desires. We run from one desire to another, plundering as we go.

Our sin is so great. Please settle us. Take us into the quiet, where we cannot escape from You. Ope our eyes to see how far we have gone from Your loving kindness. Exhaust us from our comfort binging. We have gorged ourselves to the point that we cannot think. We have become so addicted that we can only look for the next thing to satisfy our addiction-for-the-next-thing.

Exhaust us O God. In Your mercy - exhaust us. See us —in our stupor —please do not turn from us. Open our eyes that we might see our deplorable condition and cower in embarrassment before You.

Waken Your church from our stupor. Waken pastors —upset us —may our pain be great. May it be unmanageable... that we may turn from our pride, our arrogance, our comfort —and come humbly before You.

Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

Job 38:36
Who has put wisdom in the mind?[a] Or who has given understanding to the heart?

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,
Our nation is desperate. Your church is desperate. Our level of spiritual maturity has diminished to that of babies. Your church is at fault. Open our eyes that we may confess our sin and repent.

We have enjoyed our freedoms and taken them for granted. We have not prayed fervently for our leaders, or our nation. We have watched as the social fabric has wandered away and then run from the protections You put in place through the behaviors set up in Your Word. We have not activated our prayer life or our daily activities to challenge the moral decline of our nation. Open our eyes that we may confess our sin and repent.

Can it be any wonder that the quality of our leadership has declined? Can a nation that has turned its back on You raise up leadership that honors You? It is not possible. Truly the church is at fault.

Can it be any wonder that the truthful reporting by the national media has deteriorated? Can a nation that has no hunger for truth or righteousness raise up media that seeks it? It is not possible.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Truly the church is at fault because Jesus Christ is Truth, and we have not stood up for our right and privilege to proclaim it. Further, we have watched as our First Amendment Right to the Freedom of Speech has been stripped away. The very thing it is meant to protect is all but gone.

Can it be any wonder that the moral decline of our nation has deteriorated? Can a nation that has backsliden produce a government that seeks after righteousness and Truth? It is not possible.

Activate us, Your church. Raise a spiritual hunger and thirst for Truth that we may mature. May we see Your Word as vital to daily life. May we again become activated as soldiers of Christ. May we take our place in the daily battle by "bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ..." (2 Cor. 10:5)

Is it hopeless? You are our Hope. You have promised wisdom if we ask. May our leadership ask. May we, the people, ask for ourselves and on behalf of our leadership. Your Word clearly states:

James 1:5 (KJV) 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Senate confirmations are under way. Many Democrats seem determined to fight for those liberal agendas that would move our nation farther away from You. Have mercy O God. Raise up prayers that this nation may turn to You. Raise up prayers for the spiritual growth of our nation, that again we may produce leaders and government that are spiritually mature.

May Your church rise up through Your Word. May we daily grow through solid understanding of Your Word. May we not take for granted the privilege of studying Your Word and proclaiming it. May we, daily, through our actions, demonstrate that Your Word is Truth and only through You can we enjoy safety and freedom in the nation.

Donald J. Trump chooses his administration, grant him wisdom from above. As he chooses his words, his actions, his public (and private) communication —grant him words that move hearts towards You. Grant him favor before Your throne of grace and endow him with Your wisdom as he leads this nation.

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

Leadership. It sets the tone. It sets direction. Through leaders, nations go to war, nations become prosperous or they founder and struggle. We ask Your hand on the leadership of the United States of America.

We believe that only through Your wisdom can the United States recover from the turning from Your Word. Only through obedience to You can this nation survive. Unless we can, with one heart and mind, seek You and Your wisdom, we can not flourish.

Yet, You are our Hope. You have promised wisdom if we ask. May our leadership ask. May we, the people, ask on their behalf. Your Word clearly states:

James 1:5 (KJV) 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

and:

Proverbs 24:6
6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

As Donald Trump chooses his administration, grant him wisdom from above. As he chooses his words, his actions, his public (and private) communication —grant him words that move hearts towards You. Grant him favor before Your throne of grace and endow him with Your wisdom as he leads this nation.

Give Donald Trump wisdom in selection as he chooses those around him. Grace him with wise counselors to surround him. Father, it doesn't end there. These people that he is choosing are also selecting their own staff and they too need wisdom for a multitude of wise counsel. We ask Your guidance and we ask that these men and women receive keen direction that makes sense to them. May there be no hesitation as they select those who will influence their considerations and their decisions.

As all these positions are filled, we ask You to sharpen their minds. May the decisions be clear and may there be no hesitation on who should be chosen. May there be a call on the lives of those who are chosen to accept these positions. Father, we aren't looking for second-stringers...we are asking You to help us have the best: the best leaders, the best advisors, the best people to bring wise counsel.

We ask for men and women of the highest integrity, with the sharpest moral compass. We ask for those who bring the ideas that will turn this nation to once again be One Nation Under God. Father, we are asking for leaders that we can believe in, who will lead with a servant's heart and sharp mind.

Bring the real concerns to their attention. May there be no distractions. Focus their minds on the important matters and give them quick and clear decisions when urgencies arise.

These people need Your insights into the hearts of those they serve. Give them genuine concern for all parties involved and give them words that calm the rampant fear that kills hope and unity.

Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

Heavenly Father,

This nation is so fractured that it is hard to know where to begin praying. We have turned away from Your Word.

You alone hold the future of this nation. You alone know the collective moral compass. You know our collective thoughts and heart of this nation. You know our turnings from Your path of righteousness. You know the thoughts and deviousness of every person in this nation...truly, nothing is hidden from You.

You alone know the danger at our doorstep.

Truly, our heart is egregious before You. We have sinned. We have turned, everyone, to our own hearts' desires. We have created our own gods, followed them and worshiped them. We continue to do so. Have mercy O God.

Pastors, preachers and teachers have, by and large, not called us on our behavior. Those with the courage and unction to do so, have met with great resistance. As a nation, we do not want You. We do not want to hear Your Truth. We want our own way. We have turned our backs and even persecuted those who call us to repent. Have mercy O God.

Your mercy alone has sustained us as every area of our nation has deteriorated. Some believe that You have granted us a reprieve with the election of Donald Trump. I pray this is so for our plight is dire and we refuse to acknowledge that You will not and can not allow us to continue in this manner of abomination.

May these people, called by Mr. Trump, each humble themselves before You. Please open their hearts to see their own sin, that they may fall before Your throne of grace and seek You diligently as the Author of Liberty and Freedom.

They each need wisdom from You and a multitude of wise counsel. Father, we need You to grant us the creativity to find unique solutions. Can we use our resources differently? Wisely? ...only with Your help. Have mercy O God.

May each person carefully assess the disaster that awaits this nation for each decisions they make on their own ability. ...and may each person turn to You and humbly ask for guidance. Open their hearts that they may hear.

Establish in each person a servant's heart. Establish Your Word within them and give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness as the foundation of true service, first to You and then to this nation. Raise up wise counsel for each person; people who are established in Your Word and with a heart to stand before You without shame.

How can we as a nation recapture our identity as "One Nation Under God"? ...what will it take? O God, You took Your people into captivity as a demonstration of Your love and care for them. You did not spare them the cost of their iniquity. And You are the same, yesterday, today and forever. Have mercy O God, that our hearts may be turned to You.

Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

Romans 6:14
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

You are holy and Your plan for us will not be thwarted. You are omnipotent—all powerful—and yet You want to hear from us and You attend to our prayers. You allow us to influence You. Thank You.

Yet, You are holy and righteous. And only through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, can we approach You and be heard. Thank You for this Provision. Thank You for Your continuous attention. Thank You that You are for us. You want us to succeed.

Our nation is in turmoil. We have enjoyed our freedoms without protecting them and now they have been overtaken by the agendas of those who do not recognize Your supreme authority. Forgive us and call us to repent. We are bombarded by so many distractions that we are grateful for a way to pass on responsibility—especially this responsibility.

We need wisdom to know what is distracting clutter and what to attend to. Father, we have lost touch with what is important. The "urgencies of the moment" in our lives have pushed out what is important. Forgive us and call us to step back. Teach us what is important from Your perspective and show us how to make that urgent. Bless us by making Your agenda our top priorities.

You beckon us to pray for our leaders. We do so here. Please hear our prayer.

Protect Donald Trump and those he is calling to serve in his administration. Surround them, their families, and their businesses by Your heavenly hosts. Protect their hearts and minds from the media and all other distractions that would undermine our nation.

Fill these men and women with Your wisdom: the wisdom that is from above.

James 3:17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Father, this can only happen by Your Spirit.

May these people lead in accountability to You and You alone. Establish their minds and hearts to see that they are a part of a greater plan and purpose. Protect them from arguments, falsehoods, commentary, and attacks from adversaries who would want to sway them for their hidden and not-so-hidden agendas. Protect them especially from the media and public attacks on their character.

Establish in these people, the importance of keeping their minds and hearts pure...from Your perspective. Help them to understand the importance of aligning their thoughts, actions, and motivations, to be in accordance with Your Word - that YOU are then able to protect them as they bring their wisdom and abilities to serve the United States of America.

Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

Body of Christ to pray fervently for our nation and leaders, No. 3

*** That the body of Christ in America would fervently pray for our nation and its leaders.

1 Corinthians 6:9
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

You are righteous and holy...It is beyond the scope of our understanding. You only are worthy of worship. I come to You on behalf of this nation. You birthed this nation... in Your strength we grew strong and by Your grace, we grew mighty among all the nations of the earth. This was because of Your hand.

Father, our nation has become proud and we have credited the success to ourselves. Forgive us. We have devised, nurtured and affirmed a new order that unabashedly challenges Your order, even though You put these things in place for our safety, health, and welfare. You have set the standard—that we might prosper, but we have gone our own way and established what is "good" from our own perspective. Forgive us.

Father, the Body of Christ has not kept a careful watch as these changes have taken place. It seems we have become dormant and have little desire to challenge and defend the godly society that blessed this nation for so long. Please forgive us.

What can we do now?

Your Word:

Zachariah 4:6 6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

Teach us to pray for our nation and leaders, that by Your might, there is might and power that is greater than what can know. You are the Lord of Hosts and by Your Spirit, transformation is possible.

By Your Spirit, this nation can be changed. Dare we hope that this is possible. It seeks out of the realm of possibilities. Yet You are the Lord of Hosts. All power and might is at Your beck and call. You even changed the heart of Pharaoh. You changed the heart of Nebuchadnezzar. Father change our hearts.

Change the hearts of Your church to fervently pray for our nation and leaders. Give us prayers that transform and invigorate. Give us a heart to engage with leaders locally, statewide, and nationally—as we are able. Help us to better understand their concerns and pray for them —that godly solutions will be brought forth and embraced.

Father, we so need Your help. We cannot do this on our own. It seems that every abomination in Scripture has been embraced by our society. Factions have become so strong that it is difficult to see a path to make a difference.

Dispatch Your servants to win back these people, one person at a time. Give each of us an agenda of people to talk to. Please move by Your Spirit beforehand, to prepare the hearts...that they may receive Christ. Raise up and embolden Your willing servants.

Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

For Americans to respect and honor their parents, No. 2

*** That Americans would respect and honor their parents.

Exodus 20:12
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Please pray with me:

Father in heaven:
How excellent is Your Name over all the earth! You are gracious and loving towards Your children. Your love is perfect and nurtures us to live lives of peace and spiritual prosperity. Your love is always in our best interest. You are the perfect loving Father. Thank You for Your example and for Your Word. You show us and Your Word guides us so we can remain in the order that You designed.

You have commanded us to respect and honor our parents that social order may be maintained and that we may prosper. Thank You. Sometimes Your Word seems confining. Where You bring freedom, we tend to see restraints. Forgive us.

May children treasure their grandparents as they see the honor and respect of their parents towards them. May adults treat their elderly parents with great love, honor, respect and tenderness. Hold them strong here—especially when disease causes relationships to be challenging.

Father, please establish relationships between husbands and wives that honor You and want to honor You. Bind them by Your Holy Spirit, so that they unite before Your throne of grace on behalf of their marriage and their children. In turn, may they be protected from the influences that war against us.

Please protect husbands that they resist the temptation to provoke their wives or children to anger and frustration. Secure their minds and hearts that any temptation is cast out. Grant them patience, long-suffering and understanding. Give them respectful, helpful and loving responses to direct their children in the way in which they should live.

Father, You are the Author of marriage. May it be sacred in our nation again. Cause married couples to demonstrate over and over again to those around them—the benefits of the social order that You established. May the "researchers" continually find and report that marriage, as You define it, establishes a successful society. Father, cause the marriages that honor You to be Your messengers to those who doubt.

You have commanded husbands to love their wives and to honor them. You have commanded wives to respect and honor their husbands. You have established roles so that families can flourish and thrive. May the obedience of married couples be so powerful, that children gravitate to this model and it becomes locked into their hopes for and the very reality of their future.

May the obedience of parents to Your Word inspire children to be obedient to their parents. May the respect that parents demonstrate in the home —towards You, be embraced by their children so that the respect for their parents is a natural and embraced way of living.

May the successful relationships between parents and their children become personal habits that are unquestioned.

Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

City, State and National Leaders, No. 3

*** That our city, state and national leaders would be presented with the Gospel and loving Christian witness.

Romans 10:14
“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

Truly, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the most wonderful reality on this earth. Our leaders, locally, across the State and nationally, are in incredible need. And they may not even know it. The Gospel of Christ— Freedom from sin and peace from the Prince of Peace.

Raise up men and women to demonstrate the Gospel in many dimensions. May every leader be presented the Gospel from multiple directions. Truly, may it be so poignant, everywhere they turn, that it is undeniable. Amen!

May these leaders hear Your Gift of Salvation. Please raise up loving preachers who demonstrate the Gospel in their lives, people who are trustworthy and credible to our leaders at every level. Father, fill them with Your Holy Spirit to deliver the one message that never gets old:

Jesus Christ has died in our place to pay the price for our sins—that we might have life everlasting and enjoy You in all eternity. Father, please raise up these people to preach the Gospel. And please open the hearts and minds of theses leaders to hear and accept Christ as Savior.

Father, You have sent Your Word. We have it! It is so readily available here in this country. Thank You! But truly it is of no value to our leaders if they don't access it. Father, I ask for the availability of the Gospel to every leader in the United States. Please make a Bible be available to them in their homes and in their offices. And then, grant them an undeniable and urgent desire to open Your Word and read it—specifically to find Your wisdom and purpose for them—and to direct them in the decisions that they make as leaders and servants of the people in this nation.

There are other ways they can "see" Your Truth, Your Salvation, Your path...and that is through the lives of others who profess faith in Christ and seek the spirit-filled life. Oh, please, raise up an army of people who live life in a manner that brings credibility to the Gospel. May this testimony be so obvious. Father, I ask it. Raise up Your army and may we say, "Send me."

Father, touch the lives of all our leaders with a true desire to serve and be honorable before You. Bring true Christian witness and testimony to them and bind them in the fellowship fo the Holy Spirit...that this nation can be changed.

Help us, that we may stand strong and that we may be found faithful in the day of His coming.
