Isaiah 35:3-5Please pray with me:
3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Prayer Focus: The value of human life, strong or weak, helpless, even seemingly of no value
Heavenly Father,
Thank You that You see life as valuable. Thank You that You see the unborn and know them. They do not escape You, even if we have pushed them aside. Forgive us when, as a nation, we have redefined life, to begin at birth, and when we have taken lives to care to our convenience. So many of us see the unborn as without value. Forgive us.
The unborn are weak, helpless, and while they are in the womb, while they grow as infants, they are surely “takers”…needy. Yet, they are of such significant value. Father, we overlook this. Open our eyes to see the inherent value of life. Open our hearts to have a desire to see as You see, and to revere life, and You and the Giver.
Strengthen our feeble hearts and our weak hands. Confirm in us to honor You, to take up our cross and follow You daily. …especially on this matter of valuing the unborn. Raise us up. May our knees be feeble no longer, but may we rise to the occasion and passionately proclaim Your genesis of life. Show us that You have sanctified life in us, that we may fall before You in worship.
We need You. We come with fearful hearts, weak and helpless. We have slept while the enemy has crept in. Forgive us. Raise us up, that we may stand strong in the day of battle and proclaim that the battle belongs to the Lord. Show forth Your vengeance on the true enemy. May we rise up in prayer against the evil one who wages war through the unborn.
Open our eyes. Open our ears. May we hear the cries of the unborn, the deaf, the paralyzed, the mute. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear. Let us hear Your voice. Open our eyes to see Your Spirit. Lead us in the way to save these who are Your inheritance.
Oh Father, may we not be ashamed in the day of Your coming.
In Jesus’ Name.
