Job 5:7Please pray with me:
"Yet man is born to trouble, as the sparks fly upward."
Heavenly Father,
From the beginning, You have set humans apart from all that You created. You declare humanity to he Your crown of creation because we are made in Your own image (Gen. 1:26-27). Father, Your Word is clear, that we are not set apart because we walk upright or because we are intellectually more capable, we are distinguished because You created us in Your image. We represent You as no other creature can. We relate to You differently than all the other creatures. Thank You.
Psalm 19:1Your creation proclaims that You are the Creator. You have made us in Your image and we too have a desire and ability to create. Why do we create? Because we are in Your image. Teach us about this attribute that we share. As we look at Your creation, as we behold he universe through the wars and heavenly bodies, may we be in awe and fall in worship.
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Romans 1:20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Father as we “create” in our daily lives, may we see clearly that we are different from the animal kingdom. May we see the uniqueness with which we are formed.
Psalm 8Father, please open the eyes and hearts of people everywhere, to look differently at Your creation. Cause us all to see the breadth and scope…and grandeur of all that You have made…and let us awe in wonder. Humble us with Your creation. Show us how to open our hearts and minds to You. Show us how to see differently with regard to your creation and realize that You have honored humans with a unique ability to connect with You in a real and personal manner.
O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 2Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. 3When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 7All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; 8The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. 9O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
As we gaze upon Your creation, establish in each of us the Truth of Your Word, that we are unique and that You desire relationship with us. As such, may we see the Sanctity of Life. May we view life differently. May we see conception as the beginning of a unique human being that is precious, valuable, and important as You have proclaimed in Your Word. May we be humbled and may we protect every human being from conception and beyond.
