Prayers of my heart —No. 3

***Where do I put my trust?
Colossians 1:16-17
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Heavenly Father,
You are Jehovah Jireh —the God who provides. You are El Roi —the God who sees.

See me. See all of me. Bring into the light all that is in me that cannot serve You. I need You in my thinking. I need You in my motivation. Teach me my part to ensure that my thoughts and emotions are led by Your Holy Spirit. I so need You. I need Your guidance. I am unable to do this for myself.

You are Light; You are the Father of Lights.

Where do I put my trust? Search me, Father, and reveal to me, if I have put my trust in others or in other things. Forgive me if I have done so. Do I trust in other people? In institutions? My church? My friends? Have I put my trust in "things"...without acknowledging You? Forgive me.
I trust the very chair where I sit...to hold me up. Yet, it is truly You who are upholding my chair and You uphold me every moment.
Teach me to enjoy You and Your provision each day. Open my eyes to see the little things that You do and delight me with them...that I enjoy You and Your provision ...and that You are blessed by our communion, our fellowship, and by my life.

Lead me and guide me for Your purposes. Please keep me diligent, and may my spirit, heart, body, mind and words eagerly embrace what You have for me. Hallelujah!

In Jesus’ Name, Help me, that I may stand strong and that I may be found faithful in the day of His coming.

In Jesus’ Name.
